Some beautiful spots you pulled into on your jaunt up the coast! We will likely be having a picnic up here in Okeover Inlet in Penrose Bay by the time you reach Desolation Sound. Happy Hour bell rings at 5pm!
Peter you are a lucky fella, as it seems that Lady Zephyrs is very forgiving. In the middle of the perfect picnic on the perfect day you decide it's time to start filming. Sigh. Your trip looks delightful. Thanks for sharing it with us.
This really brought out some wonderful childhood memories. Back in the 60’s my parents took me to similar coves in those same beautiful islands. We only got past the San Juan’s twice to get into the southern Channel Islands. It was very special and we didn’t even scratch the surface. Thanks Peter, good episode.....
Loved the scenery and photography great job Peter. I sail on Lake Michigan but for 40 years fished with the best scroundrels in the world, and where we experienced similar surroundings but limited mountains. Glad your midship thruster is still working. No beer is bad, unless it’s not wet!
I don't envy you dealing with poop but I do envy you being able to cruise around such lovely locations ! It's so nice to get a glimpse of those locations and see some places I would never have dreamed of ! Thanks for sharing !
Amazing! I loved your shadow on the hull of Zephyrus while you 3 were in the dinghy! Very nice photographic idea! Peter, your videos are getting better and better and better and .... ! :-) Bon voyage and I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos! :-)
Man, Peter, the footage is amazing! It reminds me so much of Passamaquoddy Bay in Maine, but with people and civilization. Gorgeous footage, and what a place! If just hand rowing in close to shore is noisy, that says so much about the tranquility of an amchorage!
Lots of great places to anchor down. I’m from Charleston SC. Most of our anchorages are salt water with about 5 foot tide. Most of the boats are sailing with races in the harbor with races almost 2 races per month. Cheers! 👍🍺
Life is just a series of picnics. Nice job on the head, but one thing that we would always recommend is that u heat up the hose then tighten your hose clamps as a belt and suspenders approach to keep the hose as tight as possible. And the smellies away
Prawns, my favorite fruit, of the sea. Boiled, broiled, grilled, steamed, on sushimi or nigiri, I'm not particular. You are doing it right my friends. Regards, Solomon
Hi Peter. As you probably know, I'm from NZ and I thought we had some wonderful cruising grounds but I must say how impressed I am with the beautiful bays and waterways you have. Just stunning. The boat is looking very smart. Just one thing, please go back and double clip those shit pipes. Nothing worse than waking up in the morning to the aroma of festering poop! It doesn't go well with the aroma of bacon cooking on the stove or bar-b-q. LOL.
I have found that when flying my Spark, the picnic (and landing) goes much more securely if I lay down a towel to keep the feet from skidding on the deck.
Hmmm, good point. The problem I'm having is that as soon as it senses I want to land it takes over and with the boat moving underneath it it doesn't do a very good job. I'm playing with disabling sensors.
Travels With Geordie I have found the same, it gets a little Squirrley when it starts getting in close. I have found that just grabbing it out of the air is the best bet. Once you get over the idea that you’re going to chop your hand off it goes quite well. I imagine you know that if you then turn it upside down it will automatically turn off... By the way, my wife and I enjoyed your video on the hoses but we were smirking a little bit because, after having battled with toilets on board for many many years, we finally switched over to a composting toilet. Probably the best thing we ever did on any of our boats!
Another fabulous video Peter, love the anchorages you visit. It'd be interesting to know how far you are travelling between these beautiful little bays and how long it takes to get there, showing us the electronic chart is great but it's hard to tell how far you're going for your picnic.
Excellent video, thanks Peter. Showing us the charts and explaining where you have been and are going was great. When you say "of course you all know where that is" - remember you have a World wide audience. I live in Wellington, New Zealand, and have no idea where those places are !!! Thank you for explaining and showing us :) Well done with the toilet system. I had to do the same thing on my previous boat while my daughter and I were cruising in the Queen Charlotte Sound (Of course you know where that is !!!) Not a nice job :( The prawns looked great - I bet they tasted even better :) Kind regards, John.
Just discovered your channel and I’m so glad I did! BC is absolutely gorgeous! This reminds me of when I lived on a boat in Southern California for a couple of years. Happiest time of my life.
I love maps, so thanks for that information on where you are and where you’re going. Second, the silloute photo was spectacular! Nice job. Do you ever do some fishing/trolling while traveling?
Any of those places look like a great spot for a picnic! Thanks for adding the map views...I've been trying to find the places on google maps...sometimes my spelling isn't right. Great work Peter!
One fine day on the water parked, I had a picnic with a shark. He attacked my prawns. He scarfed them down and bellowed for another round. Then when he saw what he had done he graciously gave me the final one! (A well-mannered shark.)
took me a second to remember Wallace Island was once owned by David Conover he wrote a book "Once upon an Island" about trying to develop it into a resort
@@TravelsWithGeordie I read as a Reader's Digest condensed book, back in the 60s(?) finally found a paperback copy a while back he did write 2 more books after that one
Have you ever thought about doing a group cruising tour for several boats at a time with a scheduled itinerary. I believe it would be a big hit!!!! Not to mention a great business opportunity while meeting wonderful and interesting people with the same passions as yourself. You could have the beer of the day at each sunset and several other themes with bike rides, local tour guides of historical areas and meals centered around the local cuisine.
Heh, I think about stuff like this all the time. Soon enough, MV Geordie will be ready to cruise and I'll have guests aboard in the spacious forward suite.
what a lucky chap you are, sorting the head out. rather you than me. fantastic shots. There was so many gorgeous places to have a picnic you were spoilt for choice. best wishes from the UK
PIcnic he’s a real nice guy. Memories of lying on the dock at Secret Cove starring at the night sky with my dad and brother in the 90s. Milky Way anyone? Love your prawn fest and journey.🍻
I’m loving the drone shot and the silhouettes on the bow. Is the next challenge a drone shot of MV Zephrus under way? 😀 So many Beachcombers vibes around there.
Heh, yes, working up to that. However that's how I lost my last drone so I'm working my way through all the failsafe modes to reduce the likely hood of loss.
As much as I love a drone shot I agree, you don’t need to lose another drone for our entertainment. Thanks for showing us the west coast. I do miss visiting.
Thanks for another great video! When you went to the fuel dock in Secret Cove, you passed right by our slip. We were out in the boat though. One of these days maybe we’ll tip a hazy IPA!
Those landscapes are just wonderful....
thanks for the video Peter !!
Loving these touring videos Peter but I gotta say watching them rather than doing it myself is no picnic.
Brill! 😃 Many happy picnics 🍺🧜♂️🌿
The 4 of you are living life as if it's one long picnic!
Thank you for a another wonderful video.
So many wonderful Picinic spots. Thanks for your videos.

So glad the weather was finally nice enough for a picnic! Every new beer can't be a winner.
Enjoyed the map segment Thanks
What a beautiful spot......
Cool scene with the shadow on the side of the boat!
Fun eh?
Shadow shot was the best😊 Nice to include the map for the area you were traveling.
Thanks Thomas
It's great to see that beautiful Canadian wilderness again.
I'm looking forward to having a picnic with you guys!
Picnic in the woods.......doesn’t get much better!
Some beautiful spots you pulled into on your jaunt up the coast! We will likely be having a picnic up here in Okeover Inlet in Penrose Bay by the time you reach Desolation Sound. Happy Hour bell rings at 5pm!
Splendid spots, yes! We were nearby, behind Hare Point last night.
Brilliant footage lovely part of the world
Thanks Stephen
hi peter, thanks to you and your gal for another great escape. JDR
Many thanks Jim!

Your trip looks delightful. Thanks for sharing it with us.
You are so right!
I think that's the first beer fail I've seen on your channel, proving that cruising isn't always a picnic.
Heh, there have been a few...
This really brought out some wonderful childhood memories. Back in the 60’s my parents took me to similar coves in those same beautiful islands. We only got past the San Juan’s twice to get into the southern Channel Islands. It was very special and we didn’t even scratch the surface.

Peter..you are to be & are presently being applauded for your tasteful style...in this case, the absence of advertisements !
Live life as it were a picnic

It's so nice to get a glimpse of those locations and see some places I would never have dreamed of !
Thanks for sharing !
You're ever so welcome Ian.
Peter, that scene where your moving shadow is cast on the boat is worthy of a big time cinematographer. Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding.
Heh, thanks, practically accidental.
I came here to say basically the same. Its worth capturing as a still, printing and framing
You had an amazing raspberry PICNIC!
Amazing! I loved your shadow on the hull of Zephyrus while you 3 were in the dinghy! Very nice photographic idea! Peter, your videos are getting better and better and better and .... ! :-) Bon voyage and I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos! :-)
Thanks so much, very kind.
Your shadow going by the boat at anchor in smuggler cove was funny. Looked cartoonish.
Heh, was fun
Beer picnic....nice😎
Yes it was!
hi nice work guys.
Hey, thanks!
Thanks for sharing ❤️
Man, Peter, the footage is amazing! It reminds me so much of Passamaquoddy Bay in Maine, but with people and civilization. Gorgeous footage, and what a place! If just hand rowing in close to shore is noisy, that says so much about the tranquility of an amchorage!

Another awesome video. Makes me want to get my boat restored even faster, so I can go on a picnic, too. All the best, Peter.
Thanks so much, While I love cruising, the work to get there is wonderful too.
Thanks for bringing us along. Beautiful scenery and a great picnic spot.
For some reason I can hear your accent more in the nav part of this video. And I love it!
Accent? what accent me bye?
Eh BooBoo, where's the pic a nic basket? (In a Yogi Bear voice) Enjoying your vlog.
I can hear it perfectly in my head!
Love the map section where you show your travels.
Thanks, I'm going to try to refine the charting sequences.
Those stainless steel cups are perfect for the boat and also a picnic! The boat looks great and so does the scenery!
Prawn picnic sounds lovely.
no picnic replacing sewage lines
Life is just a series of picnics. Nice job on the head, but one thing that we would always recommend is that u heat up the hose then tighten your hose clamps as a belt and suspenders approach to keep the hose as tight as possible. And the smellies away
Thanks good tip, I was prepared to warm the hose but it wen't over the barbs nicely. I suppose a little softening wouldn't have hurt.
Refurbishing an old wooden cruiser is no easy picnic but you sure are doing one hell of a job, and it is entertaining.
Nothing better than when you're cruising and the music comes on. Ending with a perfect picnic.
Glad u had a nice picnic but next time leave the raspberry at home lol, next time take a map can
No more raspberry for me!
It's great to have a picnic beside the water. Only thing missing is a couple of fishing rods
That's true, I need to get going on some fishing.
Prawns, my favorite fruit, of the sea. Boiled, broiled, grilled, steamed, on sushimi or nigiri, I'm not particular. You are doing it right my friends. Regards, Solomon
fantastic scenery. many spots for a picnic
Yum Prawns!
Any beer that's drinkable is good enough for the fabulous picnic spots that y'all frequent!

Thanks Alan, it is a gorgeous place.
Not to worry, all to be double clamped once we're home and can get proper clamps.
that shot with the silhouette on the boat backdrop was artsy, dontchaknow! goodonyas!
Heh, thanks Scott, it was largely by accident!

So your pink picnic beer was not the best pick but the cruise must go on brother man so Cheers until we meet again
Thanks Patrick.
Another great video ending in a beautiful PICNIC spot,
Thanks again Scott!
Such a beautiful place! Great spot for a picnic.
Yes indeed!
Wonderful videos and you didn’t loose the drone.
Heh, not so far....

That's a great point Russell, I should have made that clear. Most days we steam less than two hours. At 6 knots.
Wonderful!
You've had some wonderful picnic weather. Send some south to Sequim. Summer hasn't shown up yet.
Looks like the perfect Picnic spot to me.
I got dem Deep Water Blues!
The scenery is beautiful! It looks like you and Lady Zephyrus are having a wonderful time.
We both are. We're very fortunate to be able to enjoy this coast.
What a great life you have. Those Prawns looked Amazing. I love it, I love it, I love it Pete.
What a shame the beer did'nt match the lovely area your in.......All the best
Picnic love the videos
am glad your enjoying life
I live in Juneau ak working on my boat one day I’ll be cruising
The payoff will be well worth the effort!

One of your best Peter, I particularly loved the shadow shot on the side of the motor cruiser! It was almost CGI -ish, fantastic.
Thanks Jack, I did think that was fun.
Great scenery must have been a great cruise enjoyed thank you
You're welcome Jim, thank you!

Enjoyable including the spatial perspective -
The shared view of select anchor locations are spectacular
Thanks Finn!
Looks like a epic adventure. Love the mapping of your journey seems one could spend a lifetime exploring all those islands.
Thanks for the cool drone footage and of course the rest of the awesome content.
Thanks as always Craig. A few bugs to work out with the drone and then we'll really have fun!
