      All violins have different sounds from bad to good. When you aren’t on a full-size , the extremely good ones aren’t even produced . So yes they sound worse, but at the same time not necessarily. Depends on what you compare it to.

    • @barthsab
      @barthsab 3 ปีที่แล้ว +61

      It really depends on the violin. I purchased a 1/16 for my grandson recently, and it sounds better than than some of the larger violins my students play. It’s better quality, and I got strings that are higher quality than most of my students use.

In this video, Brett is looking healthy and he laughs heartily like a ray of sunshine... When it comes to the colour of their skin, you have to remember that this was filmed in 2019, when they still were in Australia and before the pandemic. They undoubtedly have way less sun exposure now that they live in Singapore, especially since Covid has made everyone stay inside for a year now !
      Plus, this video was shot in a professional studio, which means the light is different from their usual setting.
      And to me, Brett smiles and laughs the same way he used to... at least since they lightened their schedule. It was a VERY good decision for them to take a break and come back with less videos per week.
      Maybe you have that impression because they post more serious videos than before ?
      That being said, I agree with you on the weight loss. Brett has become very skinny, and it's especially visible when you see him next to Eddy...
      And I definitely agree with the fact that Brett (and Eddy) deserve the world. 🤗

    As an adult who is not big enough for a full sized violin it’s encouraging that if I keep practicing I can sound decent without needing to play a full size. My arm length is 21.5 in I’m actually still saving up for a decent 3/4 size violin which can be challenging because they’re usually for students.

      @paulinearriaga6948 4 ปีที่แล้ว +130

      You can, it's way easier to play in tune when your fingers are smaller. The problem with them playing such small instruments is that the spacing between two notes is smaller than the width of their fingers. Also it's super hard to play with good intonation on other violins because you just get used to your own.

    Why is a violin duet so inherently romantic?? Like I know these two aren't in love but when they play violin at each other they look like they are??

    • @not_mana
      @not_mana 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      To keep up rhythm and stay completely in sync, violinists need to connect either by body language, eye contact, or facial expressions. Making it romatic/intimate in nature. All musical theories aside, it really is an absolutely beautiful instrument.
