I moved to Brandon in 1980. People from Brandon never drive on Hwy 60 or Bloomingdale. Until the late 80s, the red lights flashed at 10pm so you could drive through town without stopping.
The traffic in Brandon is usually MUCH worse every day than your video shows. Too many people, too many apartments (causing more congestion), and crappy roads. Brandon was a nice place to live in the 1960s and 1970s. Not any more!!
I stayed in Brandon for a short time (16 days). During that time, my truck was keyed and my jacket was stolen right out of my truck. I love Florida, but not Brandon.
About 115,000 strong,should be incorporated as a city,needs a town center or downtown to add a little character to the area.Neighboring Riverview has 107,000 in 2020 up from 12,000 in 2000,growing even faster than Brandon

Traffic, traffic, and more traffic. Nailed it!
Highlights including the Mall, the overcrowded Adamo drive and south of the mall LA Fitness. I don't even know if it has a downtown.

If you build for cars and traffic, you will get cars and traffic.
