Only problem was TOO MUCH sauce and also the sauce kinda tasted like pasta sauce to me, which I do not like that type of flavor on a pizza. I was supposed to transfer to uc San Diego but I am retiring from education and move to the Philippines with my wife but yeah bro San Diego seems so bad ass I remember visiting there as a kid
If you haven’t had it already, Bronx pizza in the city is by far best pizza in town, 10/10 would recommend it. I’m stationed out here and I go there at least once a month
As someone that lives 15 min away from Detroit, the city really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. It has its rough areas but downtown is such an experience. Great places to eat at, arcades, stores, etc. Onto the pizza, real Detroit style pizza is close to this, but not quite. Authentic, family owned Detroit style pizza is 100x better. I suggest, if you ever visit the states, go to Bellacino's pizza on Woodward in Downtown Detroit. It's incredible.

Tip for crispier crust: When ordering, get it well done. The only way I can eat it. Still soft on the inside, but everything else just gets a lil extra toast to them, especially if you get pepperoni /extra cheese. Just 🔥

I Like how Detroit Pizza 🍕 loads the toppings onto wasch piece and keep and the the cut area in between with just cheese That way do DONT loose toppings when cutting etc. preach piece is perfect

I've had it, and while I've hever had actual detroit style pizza, I can agree that this one does taste more of a regular pizza hut pan pizza than anything.
I tried Detroit style from Pizza Hut and the first one was great. The last two were bad enough to call and complain and both gave me credit for next purchases which I didn’t even go get either replacement. Definitely Pizza Hut has definitely changed in lower quality. Little Ceasars’s has one and ask them to cook it a little longer and the outside crust has that carmelized crispy cheese and is delightfully chewy crust. Add extra cheese, whew! Heat up leftovers the next day in the airfryer and it springs back to life and is about $10. Nothing wrong here! Little dip in the crazy sauce, you got a winner for the price and drive through 👍🏼
Jet's usual detroit-style pizza is at least decent. I've never had one "bad enough that you had to call and didn't go to get a replacement", sounds like you're just nit-picking extremely heavily.

i worked in both Pizza Hutt and Dominos, Dominos has fresher ingredients, Pizza hutts dough is basically frozen, they add too much oil to the dough because of it, since it cooks ina pan. all their pizza is basically pan pizza. With dominos they stretch it out and all that. also if the dough doesnt seem cripsy, its most like because it's not, they only cook in the oven for about 7-10 mins, so if you want it crispy you'd as for well done. Also with the cheese, Both dominos and pizza hutt weigh their toppings, that includes the cheese, you would have to ask for extra cheese
I just ordered one of these Pizza Hut Detroit Pizzas over the weekend & I was disappointed. Agree with Ben that the bottom wasn't crisp at all & the crispy cheese edges were very limited. All I tasted was that tangy sweet sauce & super salty cheese. It was edible but not something I would order again.

I live in Detroit, if you visit Detroit I would recommend going to Buddy’s Pizza because it’s some of the best Detroit Style Pizza
