My first grade teacher taught us this in 1959. She punched our holes and gave us cheap curling ribbon in a pipe cleaner needle. The ribbon was red, the paper green. We made wreaths for Christmas and the pipe cleaner became part of the bow on the wreath.🥰
Although I still dabble with scrapbooking & paper crafting, it hasn't been a big deal 2 me in a long time. But I have been watching ur Rosette Tutorials & I find myself wanting 2 get all my equipment & papers out again. Thank u 4 renewing this interest in me! I love All the tutorials u'v put out that I have had time 2 watch but so far, these Rosette Tutorials r my favorites that u'v done. WHAT WILL U THINK OF NEXT? I can't wait 2 find out!
I love when you talk us through the process. I might want to change the size and you have taught me so easily how to figure it out. Pretty good for a non-math person. This ornament is adorable. Thanks Maymay. Hugs and blessings.
Great video and super cute ornament! Since I use wet glue rather than hot glue to make my rosettes, I use nested biscuit cutters to hold my rosettes closed while they dry. That way I can move on to the rest of my project without having to hold them forever while they dry. Just pop them down into the biscuit cutter and come back later. I also place an empty can or weighted prescription type bottle on top of them to hold the rosettes flat while drying. P.S. for larger rosettes, I have used embroidery hoops.
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing that tip on getting the rosettes closed! Really helpful for anyone with difficulties with their hands! Love it! Thank you!
Love this gorgeous ornament and yes the striped paper makes a statement. Adore the new paper and that stamp set! I like how you ended up doing the green 3-piece background. Thanks Maymay, for showing the trick of not using hot glue! 🎄
Maymay, thank you so much for sharing this project. I love these globe ornaments you’ve been sharing with us! I’m making one for each of my grandkids to add to their ornament collections. You always have such great ideas!
I love the shortcut for the rosette! I never make them cause it's too hard for me, but i think this will help. The ornament is just beautiful! Thanks Maymay!
Love this beautiful ornament! Makes such a beautiful decor as well if not used on the tree. I love that you can put almost anything in the half of ornament. Love this idea! Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful ornament/gift tag, love the colors. I will attempt to do one, I just hope my rosette will turn out good. Thank you for showing us how to make this, Merry Christmas
Maymay, I could not have said it any better than MsSuper Klutz!!! I LOVE this ornament. I love everything about it. I really enjoy your tutorials. Thank you so much Maymay. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! 😁💕
The ornament is gorgeous. Thank you so much for showing us a different way to do the rosettes. They were so pretty but I got burned real bad with the hot glue so I will diffintly try this. Thanks for sharing.
When attaching strips, have you ever attached the BACK layer to the TOP layer (instead of two "backs" or two "fronts" together)? Think that gives it a flatter finish. Great project -- the red/white is a great backdrop for the ornament. Have been viewing some of your cone wreath tutorials -- ready to decorate for the holidays.
So very cute!! Thank you again for the inspiration AND the new technique for the rosette!! I bought these ornaments over a month ago thinking I could do something fun but nothing came to mind yet .... Hoping to make something similar for my grand babies Christmas ornaments🎄✨ Blessings to you & yours MayMay & Vinnie & staff too🙏🏼🥰✨
The ornament is beautiful and easy to make, and since you like religious themes you can put a Nativity scene i/o the snowmen cut out in black w/white background. You can also add two more ornaments with the wise men and the shepherds. Thanks for the video.
That rosette tip with the baker's twine is worth rubies! I am a rosette struggler who is now suffering from a hot-glue blister from putting a rosette together.
Would you ever put a little bit of snow in there? At the very bottom, like some loose snow from the Dollar Tree. With the one that's got the glitter on the snow
So cute! And not too hard, I don't think. Love the tip for the rosette. BTW, you didn't list what markers/pens you used to color the snowmen. Have you listed them on another project?
For added support to the thread, use tape wrapped around the end of the thread/twine. Out makes it work like a shoe lace. I love this idea. Thank you. You could hypnotize a person with that striped rosette. Lol
Jane Edwards Hello, you watched our card making series on how many cards you can make from one paper pad, this is a great way to learn how to create coordinating cards. Thanks Tamatha Social Media CSR
Ink can be coated or uncoated. Paper can be glossy or matte finish. Cardstock or paper can sometimes have a varnish added to it. Maybe the particular stock you are using has one or more of these options.

Maybe you did a wonderful job on that. Like you said, the black with the peppermint twine in the middle of the black bow, everything is perfect
This is beautiful and the rosette too ❤
This ornament is stinky cute. I love how you teach us how to do something that looks difficult but you make it look easy. Tfs. I really appreciate you

This is adorable.. i would have added some glitter or something inside to make it a shaker as well.

That paper is lovely. I would call the finish either semi-matte, or satin.
So cute

Love the project. I have an SVG file that cuts the rosettes like this so much easier to make, just using the string.
Doreen Lesniak what SVG file is it?

So cute! And not too hard, I don't think. Love the tip for the rosette. BTW, you didn't list what markers/pens you used to color the snowmen. Have you listed them on another project?
