    WHO AM I?
I’m Randy, a mixed-media artist most recognized for my vibrant and unconventional artwork.
Born and raised in Northern California, I have been an artist in some form since childhood. I left the corporate world in 2021 to focus on my passions, and ultimately returned to art beginning in 2022, specializing in ink sketches and watercolor.
The transparency in my art and process shows the world that it is not about the final piece, it's about the creative space in the mind that takes you from the first sketch to the final brush stroke. Vintage items, antiques, and Hawaiian scenes are my favorite subjects.
I currently reside in Kailua Kona, Hawaii where I take advantage of the beautiful surroundings; you might catch me some days out at the beach with a brush in hand making the ocean my outdoor studio.

You are more the beach guy then the “pour” guy! ❤

True. At least this time. Hopefully my “pour” guy will be better next time. 🤣🤣

I love your openness and honesty! I started this maybe in April this year… it’s definitely a learning experience! Right now I am working a lot on tiles. They are very forgiving, and the smaller surface let’s me try things small before working my way up. Making coasters and trivets. 100 ceramic tiles is 12.50 at Home Depot. That’s 100 tiny canvases to play with! ❤️

Hmmm. Tiles. I hadn’t thought about that. Thanks for the idea. I got a great deal on overstock canvases when I started this, so it was easy to just start there. Then, of course I wanted to go bigger. 😃 thank you for your kind comment.
