Structuring a learning curriculum from the inside out, is all about integration.
Separate subjects, arbitrarily divided into units are reintegrated into experiences, processes, and actions.
I use the playful subject of cookery ( and my Foodie Play Package, available on my website.) as a means of explaining integrated learning: memory retention, ratios, measurements, creativity of tastes, cultural practices and anthropology, geographic origins of ingredients, agricultural processes involved in the ingredients, literary references to cookies..the list goes on and on.
You as a child get to experience, integrate, apply, understand ( and munch the cookies )- THAT Is how we learn @ The Speaking House ! Integrative Resonance Learning for NEW EARTH!
