2 legends right there. My hero's. Along with Joe and Topper, these guys are such an inspirational force in my life. Also love Mick in BAD.

God bless The Clash... 🫡🎶🎸 The Clash are still one of my top 3 favourite bands. Their albums changed my life as a young British punk rock girl in the early '90's! 🎉
Edit: Brilliant to hear this interview today & other interviews that had either all 4 band mates or just with Topper &/or Joe❣️ RIP Joe Strummer! 😔❤Cheers! 🎉

One good LP, the first, and the rest was a sell out. A second rate Rolling Stones.

What an appalling, idiotic comment. The Clash fooled their record company by making their third album, London Calling, a double album, first telling their label that the second LP would be a 12" single, which became an additional 12" record with nine tracks, including a hidden track. Then The Clash insisted on London Calling being priced as a single album. Not exactly the strategy of a band looking to sell out. On their fourth album, Sandinista, a three record set, they agreed to forgo royalties until it sold 250,000 copies. That is UTTERLY UNHEARD OF in the music business, & is the exact opposite of a "sell out". And you're saying everything they did after their first album was "a sell out"? You haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about, you bloody barmy sod! And calling The Clash "a second rate Rolling Stones" is absolute blinkered nonsense beyond the pale, you clueless, sorry tosser!
