It's a great way to relay orders. A certain drum or flute pattern could mean "RETREAT" or "CHARGE"

Haha these videos never get old. Kilroy isn't like no Huge Animated Film maker, but these videos he just plays an records are awesome and I havent found really a disapointing one just yet. Its cool to see teamwork like that and makes the game more interesting overall I feel.
I believe its because higher command is in the HC channel and each squad has a different channel and they have a squad lead who can speak to HC through a hotkey. So its allows you to have Soldiers talking to soldiers without drowning out the commanding voices.

It's a standard part of regimental battles in M&B:NW. And is why most regimental battles are closed to the public.
this is what we call willing organized game play, something that happens in tournaments on PC's.

It helps discipline and morale. It's also a way of relaying orders. Imagine both people to your side dying, your instainct might be to flee for your life, but hearing that music play is an assurance you are still supposed to stay and that you are doing alright overall. Just my drunken guess without doing any research anyway.
It's a whole different game, there really is no comparison between the two. Liking one does not mean you like the other. the only similarities is their time setting.

Whats with the not allowing to shoot in melee? if your forces are collided its the other teams fault for giving you the breathing space to reload.

I wish people wouldn't instantly make assumptions about console gamers, i'm 17 and i enjoy a variety of games and gaming consoles, i hold an interest in this and ARMA2 and other simulators, while i also enjoy playing my xbox for games like Halo and simply to enjoy the fact of having a controller in my hand. So if everyone could kindly consider that not all console players are 'preteen COD fanatics' it would be much appreciated.

Depends on your situation. For me it's an entirely reasonable purchase for something that will give me hours of fun. Also you're in the UK and they get screwed by steam prices all the time.

Have you ever played this game? Formations are made even without voice comms. Charges are conducted. You wouldn't understand.

I dunno... I've played with a number of good, team players on consoles. Chromehounds was great for that, and you can get in good teams on Battlefield. If you want another PC example though, look no further than Eve. Its like this but on a much more massive scale.

Not a mod. It's an expansion of sorts for mount and blade that you can buy on Steam for almost no money.
You guys should use ACRE but not any radios, just positional voices. That must have been a big problem back then, juggling maps and runners.

I find that offensive! I'm 14 and play games for fun, not to "pwn teh nubs" and such. I'd love to play in a server like this, it'd be bloody fanatastic. Especially in ArmA, much like you'd see Kilroy playing.

im 14 too, and the truth is sadly, most of the 14 year olds bought games like arma for dayz. and play it like its a cod game, its not fair, but either is the fact that where i live car insurance is more expensive for boys than girls just because more boys on average get in car wrecks than girls, its not fair but us mature ones must deal with it.
"no money" its £7.99 for a multiplayer only dlc its not that cheap
