Did you consider going into 4 low and using trail control to go down that hill? I have a 2020 FX4 and found that trail control is pretty useful for all the low speed stuff.
I have the Yakima Outpost, I am a huge fan and love its versatility, durability and how light it is. RCI also makes a killer bed rack. If I had not gotten the Yakima I would have went with RCI.

It would have been a good opportunity to use trail control. But honestly I just switched the locker on and I popped right out!
