Good morning. I just want to tell you that I watched you this morning for the first time. And I found you very refreshing. And I hope to see more of your videos. I do the cross stitching as well, and quilting and I can do crochet but I don’t get a real thrill out of it. I just don’t not like I enjoy my cross stitching and quilting same as you. Only except you more than you do your quilting. I hope you feel better and are able to keep putting out videos. I did not know across the sea has made so many different patterns that she has accumulated. I have never done a hands across the sea. There’s one that I did like, but I never bought it and now I don’t even remember what was the name of it. I remember there was this big bird in the middle of it I thought that was a prettiest Bird, that’s the only one that has really talk to me and if you don’t buy it when you see it, you’ll kick yourself in the tush many times because you didn’t buy it when you saw it. Hard lesson to learn. So now I just buy it if I see something I like. but - and your patterns that you have made are beautiful. I look around on my walls. Nothings on my walls unless I made it. Those are the years of my life sitting on these walls with all my memories. So I appreciate you sharing your beautiful work. I will continue to watch you. Thank you for sharing Jenny.
I truly enjoyed your video. It was relaxing, charming and very informative. I am dying to start a sampler - but haven't done one sine I was 12. Really enjoyed this overview of your HAS samplers. I have marked several favorites based on your video. Stay well and thanks for the enjoyable 42 minutes !!!
Hello! Your flosstube came up in my feed and I'm so glad it did! I'm of Scottish heritage and seeing Scottish Samplers brings me such joy. Your stitching is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the HATS booklets. My first counted cross stitch was Ruth Gibb.
Hi! Love your Flosstube and YES, the sound was great this week! Your stitching is beautiful and inspirational! Thankyou for sharing and keep up the good work! Soooooooo looking forward to your next video X
Loved your video. Your stitching is beautiful! I also love stitching reproduction samplers and am working on a couple of Hands Across the Sea: Eleanor Furniss and Ann Thomas. My next start will be one of the Uffindell’s I think. Thank you!
Hi. I just happened across your Flosstube a few days ago and I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your gentle spirit and lovely accent, as well as your stitching of course. Lol. I just had to comment when I heard you say you were trying to tone your accent down. Please don’t! As an American, and lover of all things Scottish and British, I just had to tell you it is part of your charm. I have recently picked up cross stitch and am enjoying it so much. I did some embroidery back in the 1980s and have been quilting for the last several years but I didn’t even know that cross stitch was popular again until I happened across some Flosstubers on TH-cam. Now I am well and truly hooked! I live in a very rural part of Kansas and my only connection with other stitchers is on flosstube. Can’t wait to watch your next video! Kathryn
Hi 👋 from Suffolk in the U.K. love your samplers 😍 such talent and like the history you have found in relation to the sampler in Scotland . Look forward to more episodes on flood tube and thank you @thecampingstitcher for recommending 🤩
Lovely Fires Floss tube Ellie Welcome, Loved Seeing All Your Stitching And Finishes, Looks Like Your Going To Be Busy, Looking Forwards To Your Next One Happy Stitching Lynn 🪡🧵✂️❤️
Lovely is the word that describes everything about your video! Your finishes are beautiful, your current work is amazing, and your collection of HATS charts is delicious! Your presentation is perfect--timing for maximum viewing pleasure and calm pacing. Perfect! Thank You so much for sharing. About DMC vs silk. DMC has wonderful colors with a beautiful sheen. I often choose it for consistent dye lots and it’s agreeable price. In my opinion it is a great choice!❤️
Hello!! I came back to cross stitch last July after a 30 year break. Watching Nicola’s videos brought my love for samplers. I had never been taught what the samplers were about or the history. So you started off with my favorite designer of Samplers! Since I am starting late I will have to live to 150 to stitch all the ones I love to look at. I enjoyed the video! Hello from North Carolina USA. I do not have a local shop so I do have to order online to travel to get my lovely charts and threads.
I just watched your 3rd video and am now watching 1 and 2. So glad I found you and was happy to subscribe. Your accent is lovely. I am from southern Indiana and I consider my accent not so lovely. Lol. I think you are doing an amazing job! I could hear you just fine. Of course we want to see your finishes!!!
Pleased to meet you Eleanor, I'm Cynthia from Maryland USA. I love Hands Across the Sea also. Your work is lovely. Look forward to seeing you again. God Bless.
Just found you! What a great Flosstube and an even greater collection! I haven't done a sampler yet, I started cross stitching again about a year ago after a long break, but want to do one. Hadn't seen one that jumped out at me but have now - Jane Marshall is just so beautiful and I think will be a perfect one to start with. So thank you for the enabling! xx
Thank you so much for sharing. Your stitching is beautiful, I hope to do a Scottish Sampler someday I have allot of ancestor's that came from there. I just got back into stitching and have not stitched on a higher count linen, hopefully I can get new glasses soon. I look forward to seeing your video's. Have a blessed day!
I’m loving your sampler parade! So many wonderful red Bristol pieces! I need to get back to Louisa C, so nice to see yours finished! I watched your second video first and then this first one! Keep them coming, love your beautiful accent too!
I very much like your floss tube. Love your style. I have had terrible difficulty hearing you though which is a pity as I would like to. When you speak out I can hear you fine so I don't know how hard that is for you. Hope to hear you in the next one wouldn't want to miss a word
Hello Eleanor, well that's odd - I've just thoroughly enjoyed re-watching but I can't find my original comment. I definitely left one. It's been a joy following your channel and re-watching too. Happy stitching, Teresa 🪡🧵♥
Hi Teresa, that’s strange I can’t find it either, I’m glad you enjoyed re watching my 1st episode, I have added to my collection so maybe it’s time to do another 😂 xx
Hello from Florida and I was hooked as soon as you said you where from Scotland lived in England. My mom was from Exeter and my husband ancestors are from Scotland. Beautiful work and finishes I have Elizabeth Weston as a Wip and many more other samplers in progress. Looking forward to your next one.
Beautiful samplers, I love HATS but still have to stitch one. I grew up in Bingley and worked in Bradford many years ago. Currently living in The Netherlands. Look forward to visiting you again.
I adore Scottish Samplers too. Great first episode but those finished samplers will look much better framed. 😃. Looking forward to seeing more Flosstubes from you 💕
Carol, Saltbox Stitcher mentioned your FlossTube and I’ve enjoyed your FlossTube very much. I don’t stitch a lot as my first love is quilting but I definitely will vicariously through your stitching journey. Thanks for sharing your talent.
A wonderful visit with you, seeing your beautiful stitching progress and finishes. I’m stitching Mrs Campbell and a few other Hands across the sea samplers on the go. Plus have inspiring me to start another that’s been kitted up for some time. Blessings and happy stitching.
Your first floss tube was so well done😀. I loved seeing your beautiful samplers you are currently stitching and oh my how many very beautiful patterns you have from HATS! I have started my very first sampler in red thread, Ruth Gibbs from HATS booklet. I am enjoying stitching it and I was delighted that my borders matched without any frogging happening! Counting is hard but it pays off when following the charts.😀. Look forward to more of your videos in the future.🤗
Bravo! You are the first person I have seen stitching Maria Vincenza - I started this mid August and find it very relaxing and a nice break from another wips - which are just few. Your work is stunning and I covet all your HATS charts! I am contemplating which one would make a good birthday start next year! (it's a whopper of a birthday coming up). I favor samplers that have different borders on each side - or at least different on two sides. Will have to study to see - any suggestions? Looking forward to more episodes! Take care.
Hi, Ellie! Loved seeing your Hands Across the Sea Samplers. Samplers aren't my "go to" designs, but I do have a few and always love seeing others stitch them. Just an fyi, and since I seem to be the only one commenting, don't worry about it - but I have a very difficult time hearing you. (I usually do when you and Allie film as well). I have no idea why as I typically don't have this problem when watching FT. Again, just an fyi - don't lose any sleep over it for sure. I've subscribed and look forward to seeing your next filming. Steph
Thanks Steph, the sound does seem to be an issue for some but not all, my daughter said the same thing. I do have a mic , maybe I need to talk louder ha ha xx
Hello. I was so excited to watch your video!!!!! Your needlework is spectacular! I love Hands Across the Sea charts and I am currently working on The Old Scot. I will be thrilled to see your progress on projects. I have a Bristol ready to start. I never thought I would stitch more than one in my life time but you just gave me permission!!!!!😘. Hope to see you again soon
Hello from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Enjoyed your video! Your stitching is beautifully done. I too started on the Jane Fiddes sampler stitch along and I am at the same location that you are currently. Looking forward to seeing more of you.
Really pleased to see your new channel especially all of your HATS charts, starts and finishes. Can I ask where are you able to get a good range of 103 in the UK?
Welcome! You have such lovely work. Thank you for sharing. Just a note sometimes when you speak, your voice starts getting softer so it can be hard to hear. Until next time, take care.
I really enjoyed your floss tube and seeing all your beautiful designs. I like the idea of showcasing a designer. I look forward to your next video. ❤
