I think the ghast is from the overworld but the ghast found itself in the nether and got infected by the evil. The tears are just the original ghast begging to be freed. It attacks us because they feel threaten by the trauma being in the nether. The ghast originaly was nice and loving. That's why the tears gave the regen affect. ☹️☹️

Theory: Creepers were villagers that were experimented on by illagers, and as villagers obviously don't want to be creepers, they named the sherd "Danger". So, it wasn't creepers themselves who were responsible for the destruction of the Trail Ruins, it was the illagers. See videos #4 (this video) and #2 in the series for more info. Another theory: Illagers have not just been corrupting souls, but also torturing axolotls and putting them in iron golem bodies to spawn the warden. See videos #3 and #1 in the series for more info. Minecraft legends contradicts this theory, as Creepers existed in that game too, which takes place thousands of years prior to main game Minecraft, and the Illagers were just normal villagers with grey skin back then (they weren’t evil at the time). Sure, Minecraft Legends isn’t confirmed to be canon yet, and is simply part of a legend that was passed down from villager to villager. However, legends are stories based on some level of history or reality, unlike myths, which are entirely fictional. My theory is that Creepers were created by the Hosts, just like the overworld itself.
i have a slightly different theory to why Ghasts cry
so i think Ghasts are from the over world and could of been the ancient builders friends/maybe Pets then when/if the ancient builders went to the Nether the Ghast followed then Evil Nether mobs took them away. Maybe Ghasts weren’t actually Hostile to begin with, Maybe they Cry because they don’t want to see Players get hurt, that explains why their tears give you a healing potion and Maybe they also Cry because they want to be freed

The trail ruins have an interesting architectural foundation. Some of the buildings look like they could be from the deep dark, but closer to the surface. The other buildings are definitely from the overworld, but built with different materials than normal. I'm going to do some research on this. I'll get back to you with my findings, EY.

I saw this weird thing while playing Minecraft. I don’t have photo evidence, but I can’t describe it. It’s small not that small but it’s an average size of a block. I saw it while being underground. It was red a little bit white, and it was dark blue.

I have a theory of how the villagers abandoned their homes:
They were living peacefully then a group of mobs (not pillagers) came and destroyed their old village, then they searched for a new one and as time went on the abandoned village was like.. uhh how do I describe this Uhmm.. they got sucked into the ground somehow, the thing that happens with fossils!

I think Ghasts cry because, like other comments, they may have been pets. Sometimes people kidnap pets today irl. And hold them for ransom. But, I think, like the piglin farms, something sussy is going on in the nether. It is supposed to look like hell, right? And what happens in hell? Hellish things. What if, a nether mob with arms, specifically the wither skeleton brought a ghast into the nether for some sort of, great experiment. The ghosts got agressive and attacked the wither skeletons. Now look at humans/Players. We have skeletons inside, right? And they mimic our body shape. What if, we look so similar to the wither skeletons that the ghasts think we are their captors and try to attack us?

My theory: the wither is in the ghast because the wither shoots heads ghastly shoots fire charges which could be wither heads on fire
Funfact: you get a achievement 'return to sender' I think it's if you bring a ghast from the nether to the overworld
no, return to sender is when u shoot a fire charge back at a ghast. there is a different achievement to bring a ghast to the overworld, but i forgot the name

hey EYstreem, I just wanted to mention that there are villager skins for the jungle biome, although there are no jungle villages. could this somehow be connected to the trail ruins, since they generate in jungles?
I think the ghasts are from the overworld. If you get the achievement uneasy alliance, it says rescue a ghast from the nether, bring it safely home to the overworld and then kill it.

6:17 maybe they weren’t built by villagers at all (ancient or otherwise), but rather by the ancient builders. This is something that MatPat theorized prior to his retirement, and something that I personally believe.

After my research, Ghast are came from the overworld. They stopped crying in the overworld after transporting them from the nether. Then, we get achievement "Uneasy Alliance." It means that once, the Ghast were our alliance and originally from Overworld. And... as EYstreem said, they got ruined by the wither?

I never knew that there are so many mysteries like the glazed terracotta that you would find in villages and some of the structures have something hiding in each of these areas that you will encounter in minecraft. I think how trail ruins were stuck underground was that an sinkhole-causing entity might have put a curse to anyone building these particular structures and the people all died in the sinkhole,soon the ground began to cover the hole up
it might have been tectonic plates changing over time something in the void or bedrock might have caused it

I think the "void" below the nether is actually the core of the *Minecraft Earth*
Another is inside of the overworld, because if you go far enough down into the void, you could actually make it to another because there’s ends of the nether. It’s pretty crazy and cool.

Theory: creepers are the corrupted version of the ancient villagers or a failed test in the village. The test exploded the village, hence turning the villagers into creepers. It makes sense because creepers are friends with villagers. But the ancient people knew the exploding caused them to turn into a monster and blowing up would turn them from a beast into nothing. Videos have been shown about how villagers are tested creepers.

I haven't finished the video yet, I'm still on the trail ruins part, but, if there are the ancient people who made the desert temples, desert wells, ruined portals, jungle temples, and all that, it would make sense for there to be ancient villagers too, and perhaps, just like most players (that I've seen) are friendly with villagers, I'd assume the ancient builders and ancient villagers was friends too, which would also explain the friend pot thing

i know normal creepers dont attack villagers but have any of you heard of the ancient creeper its what most people thought of when they saw the skeletons in Minecraft before the sniffers were added so i think that the ancient creepers attacked the villagers not the normal ones we know today.

The truth myth is the ghast is not infected, actually it’s just a cannon that shoots fireballs, if you compare the wither and the ghast. The wither is slightly bigger, so the wither can not fit into the ghast’s body. The ghast’s body is made out of steel and gears, the wither would not have fit in there. (unless it’s just a wither head) Full explanation on my channel soon.
The ghasts cry because they are forced to give their tears so players can heal themselves from hostile mobs and after years the players eventually died and it gave all the ghasts enough time to suck and make fire charges from magma blocks so that when new players come to the nether they instanly try to kill the players

My theory for the trail ruins: the trail ruins was actually an ancient city like Atlantis but not under water, maybe a meteor hit nearby but not close enough to explode the city but the meteor created a huge landslide that buried the city
