come on man that's a stupid thing to say everything was pre destined guruji did the parakh of who the next guru will b. let me give u an example as to y ur question is stupid. e.g. if an earthquake kills 100 men can u or will u question y only men were killed or if 100 women die can u question y only women were chosen by death. now take it one step further; if u suddenly become like superman then if I start beating around asking why he/she/it why not someone else. it is pre destined there's no answer to these questions. and now on a serious note. what guruji did was their hukam who r u to question guru sahib live in raza because that's what Sikh faith is.period.
