Anyone else keep coming back to this game over the years and just when you open it up you get hit hard with the feels when the main sound track hits you? For me whenever I hear this song I just hit so hard with the feels and all the memories of this game come flooding back to me. Which it makes even sadder to know it been like 14 years since it came out and there been no true 3rd installment of the series, and just makes it hit so much harder then as I so badly want another game of this as these types of games in my knowledge are very few in numbers. And this being the only one I enjoyed the most out of them all. But yeah I hope this wonderful series gets revived and can continue being great!

As I said I understand it would as you said suicide for this game as things stand in the world currently, but its like a itch you just can't get rid of you and no nothing you do and have done was able to satisfy this itch/need. There are no games that are like this currently right now (to my knowledge), which makes it so much more unique and special to me. Though I would be least somewhat satisfy to see an game make an attempt to match this, I know it won't be perfect but it could be just as good substitute. As to me deep down, I believe just maybe one day, not any day close but some day in the far future there will be actual Overlord 3 with the same universe and all, given the same love as this was given but even more so and improved upon in so many ways. To me if this was to happen, which it just might as I believe I will never give up hope on it, and will always remember it somewhere that there still might be a chance for this game to return as many games in the past have made their own returns, just need to be patient and bid our time.

I like to have hope that it will be great, it will improve upon it prequel games and be an true and actual successor to this gem. And if that day was to come true, I would break down crying honestly as I could die happy and knowing I was right and that I could least play another new Overlord game before my time comes and I pass away, leaving my kids (If I have any lol) to play the next set of Overlord games if they decide to continue it, or if not least be able to know I got to play the last Overlord game that finished off the series of great games that were gems.

I think you are basing the Overlord's dialogue on PrinceBoo21's portrayal. He also did the "Hrrrmph!" in his Let's Plays of both Overlord and its sequel whenever the characters said something ridiculous or stupid.

I feel ya when i went to gamestop it was 20 dollars shows how much a game is popular, but it was shocking to see it in pre owned that made me sad either he gave up hope or just a new player who dint like it, either way it should be a shining gem in the hearts of old gamers

I played the original all the way through like that and loved it anyway on my shitty old desktop. Then I got a gaming computer and played it again, only to find out it's a bit tougher when everything isn't in Matrix-style slow motion.

@Zenkirune Well Dark Legend came out slightly before Overlord 2 did and is actually a prequel so it doesn't count. Still I swear to the Evil Old Ones if we don't get an Overlord 3 I'll go on an urban killing spree. One of the few actually refreshing IP's this gen and it gets the shaft while we continue to get Generic Brown Shooter: The Revange every stinking year. Well at least there are still the Soul games (Demon's Souls and Dark Souls). At least they are getting some loving.
@Tyannalyn I'd say the chances of that are slim. Triumph have pretty solid formula set for Overlord: be an evil guy who looks like Sauron and take over the world with your army of minions all the while making fun of as many fantasy stereotypes as humanly possible.

I wasnt surprised my friend noxis ever heard of this game and we were doing a overlord series on my channel as soon as he heard the soundtrack and story he was hooked i was joyful and cried on the inside

I have to wonder what happened to this Overlord? Like i know the first got stuck in the Abyss. But from the FOE trailer it looks like something happened to this one too,

third overlord died of unknown means, although i personally think it was the minions who betrayed him. because evil always finds a way, and isn't betrayal quite evil?

I doubt that they betrayed since they are still loyal to his father. You don't start a civil war to support a monarch you despise, right?

@Tyannalyn Feeling is mutual ;) Its so hard to have a decent convesation about games when every two words which come out of the mouth (keyboard) of the other person are related with how much he loves to mate and how much he admires your mother. XD
Don't give up though. We might get an Overlord 3 eventually though they really do need to iron out some of the series small but annoying shortcomings.

I played the original all the way through like that and loved it anyway on my shitty old desktop. Then I got a gaming computer and played it again, only to find out it's a bit tougher when everything isn't in Matrix-style slow motion.
Overlord vs Overlord Junior. a fight to remember, hell let's throw Sauron and the lich king Arthas in for good measure, a four way free for all. Every lord of evil for him self.

@Zenkirune Well Dark Legend came out slightly before Overlord 2 did and is actually a prequel so it doesn't count. Still I swear to the Evil Old Ones if we don't get an Overlord 3 I'll go on an urban killing spree. One of the few actually refreshing IP's this gen and it gets the shaft while we continue to get Generic Brown Shooter: The Revange every stinking year. Well at least there are still the Soul games (Demon's Souls and Dark Souls). At least they are getting some loving.

@Tyannalyn I'd say the chances of that are slim. Triumph have pretty solid formula set for Overlord: be an evil guy who looks like Sauron and take over the world with your army of minions all the while making fun of as many fantasy stereotypes as humanly possible.
