Never got to own one of these knives, but it is on my one day list. But the maker makes me won't one even more. Great ideals for a knife maker with real world experience. :-)
I love these knives. Pry handle, bottle opener, and great blade shape from a well seasoned veteran. What more could you ask for. My Army friend brought the fixed blade to my house and I was hooked when he showed me.I need one!
Just bought the HEST original from bladehq a couple days ago. I'm in the honeymoon phase, but I already like it better than 3 more expensive knives that I own and it is hands down my favorite short fixed blade. What I like most about it is all the points you can use for lashing paracord to and the unique design..
My H.E.F.T. 2.0 was very stiff at first but it loosened up after I made the effort to break it in. It's really a great hard use knife. The DPx HIT Cutter deserves more attention.
Damn you BladeHQ! I've been stopping myself from buying a DPX Hest for months now... I can't hold out anymore. You guys and your videos are going to make me go poor, atleast I will have some awesome blades with me when I'm living on the streets lol
Always scrolled past them on the fs section on the forums and on websites but this video itself really makes me want to own one. Just based off his personality and outlook alone.
RYP is no doubt one of my favorites. I've been of fan of this fella and have read his books since he started and actually bought one of his videos, incredible video. I'm proud that he entered the knife community. Now, he has to get that Phoney Balogney Joseph Kony. If there is anyone who can find out what the REAL story is with this guy and the LRA it's Pelton IMO.
There is a lot of controversy surrounding RYP and the truthfulness about his reporting of things over seas and his treatment of American troops in his pieces of journalism. I do not know what the truth is but I can say the DPX hest 2.0 is one of the best folding knives in my EDC rotation.
Just gave the Woodsman 6 to my brother as a gift. His jaw hit the floor. Enough said. Now I need one for my collection. RYP is as solid a knife guy as far as why he designs than anyone out there.
He needs to keep away from Walmart and keep making cool knives! I bought a LionSteel SR-1A from BladeHQ and I would love to add another LionSteel to the collection.
sweet blades definitely won't be seeing them in blister packs at Walmart I love that line! nice concept of being the minority instead of the majority, just better quality
I have the esee made H.E.S.T. original.. Who warranties it if it ever does break? I know they both have the best warranties out there, just want to know who to contact, since esee doesnt produce the knife any more, it wouldnt be them would it? It is their craftsmanship but would I get a replacement? Are they still even made today? I couldnt really find out what happened between Robert and esee either just that they had a falling out/controversy? Was it really or did they just part ways? I doubt this bitch is gonna break anyways but does any body know any of these answers?
Landrew0 hest original. I paid about 190$ Canadian for it on Amazon. When I was looking they ranged from around 155 to 200 or so (probably more) not sure if you got one yet or are even still looking a year later...
Lol I had very bad experience with DPX gear. I broke my HEST folder on a elk hunt...sent it to them 3 years ago....and still don't have it. Oh well kinda a pile anyway
Damn you BladeHQ! I've been stopping myself from buying a DPX Hest for months now... I can't hold out anymore. You guys and your videos are going to make me go poor, atleast I will have some awesome blades with me when I'm living on the streets lol
Great work on this. Finally took a moment to hold one or two of those knives the other day. Really nice quality construction and design.
The meet your maker series is one of my all time favorites on TH-cam. Please continue doing this! I will watch every single one.

Always good to see someone with a passion for what they do (and the experience to back it up)... definitely shows up in the end product!
Never got to own one of these knives, but it is on my one day list. But the maker makes me won't one even more. Great ideals for a knife maker with real world experience.
:-)

Love the meet your maker series!

Slim Jimmity Sadly, the Bradford Guardian 3 has since become my favorite short fixed blade. The HEST is still with me though, great blade.
My H.E.F.T. 2.0 was very stiff at first but it loosened up after I made the effort to break it in. It's really a great hard use knife. The DPx HIT Cutter deserves more attention.
Like the passion the has for the job .
I sure love mine. I got the green one from your store last week and has not left my pocket!
The original HEST is still my go to blade when out in the woods. Great little tough knife.
Good video.
Awesome! just wish it was a longer video
Really appreciate they make a left version. Can't wait to get one
Thanks RYP you make awesome knifes! Great video guys!
Damn you BladeHQ! I've been stopping myself from buying a DPX Hest for months now... I can't hold out anymore. You guys and your videos are going to make me go poor, atleast I will have some awesome blades with me when I'm living on the streets lol
Great knives & I like the different steels that are offered in different models. They do each have their own personality.
I love the rough black coating on the fixed blade HEST. And the blade shape is beautiful and very utilitarian.. I need to get myself one.
Excellent Robt and team BladeHq! I'd looove to try one out.
Good looking knife. I've been looking for a good EDC blade.
DPx and RYP make amazing knives! Thanks for the GAW!! Happy New Year! :)

His new heat is one that looks quite promising, great knives
Pretty awesome philosophy. I look forward to whatever designs they may come out with in the future.
Awesome video! I got a HEFT 4 from you guys and love it!
I have been wanting one of these for ever! South paw model.
I really like the designs he comes up with, I'll have to pick up a knife sometime.
The frame lock knives should have a hardened steel insert on lockbar.
I like that he has experience in the use of knives and not so much the looks of it.
Great tool and wonderful way to start the year !! i'm in
I like his philosophy of "We don't ever want to be in the blister packs at Wal-Mart".
That's Very Cool!!!
Love my Izula 2, and as far as I know, the DPX HEST is about the same size! awesome giveaway!
Love the look of their knives. Great stuff!
Always scrolled past them on the fs section on the forums and on websites but this video itself really makes me want to own one. Just based off his personality and outlook alone.
I half to get into the store to look at these. Looks like Scout beat me too it.
Too cool. Great knife. Really want one.
Sweet blade, would look awesome in my collection.
Awesome! Thank you so much for this opportunity!

My HEST sux. The lock sticks like super glue. The replacement they sent does the same. Too bad, thought I would love this blade.
Certainly a knife to love.
Love the music. I used it in my Foursevens booth video from Blade Show '13. :-) Nice video.
It's always catches me off guard when people recognize stock music :) Glad you liked the vid. Thanks for watching!
Doesn't want to have his knives to be sold in blister packs in Walmart? This man has my business.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I love my dpx knife! I have a heft 4 I got from blade hq!

I like the red G-10, it probably gets dirty fast though.
More than the others but its still awesome!
Just gave the Woodsman 6 to my brother as a gift. His jaw hit the floor. Enough said.
Now I need one for my collection. RYP is as solid a knife guy as far as why he designs than anyone out there.

If i could afford them.

Landrew0 pretty decent knife at that price, handy as fuck every day and tough as nails. You can literally pound it into a tree like a nail
Lol I had very bad experience with DPX gear. I broke my HEST folder on a elk hunt...sent it to them 3 years ago....and still don't have it. Oh well kinda a pile anyway
