Bought an espresso scale once that would keep the shot weight on the screen when it finished. Only problem - it decided the shot was over when the weight stopped incrementing. i.e.. between the 1st and 2nd drops. Company said espresso should be continuous and to adjust my technique, lol.
I feel like if you are going to make a large scale comparison for espresso you would add the varia AKU mini, time more basic mini, and the Felicita scale.
@ No doubt, and if it’s an affordability issue than the options could have been at least mentioned with their features and measurements provided so people know that they exist and are options. But making a video in this space titled “best non acaia scale for espresso” without actually listing the best alternatives is odd. Maybe title it “best espresso scale that I own” so people don’t assume it’s a comprehensive video. I understand not every content creator has the funds to purchase everything on the market.
Water eventually got inside my BSSII display and the stick-on button panel came off. Brewista only interested in selling me a new scale rather than a $5 replacement stick-on panel - so wrote them off.
@@aidaneldar Bookoo is my favourite, but I can't say if it's good for pour over cos I almost never do it. The Timemore is great for that but too big for a travel one.
Just to let all you know that my new Timemore Mini is absolute dogshit and often simply glitches out. I know it’s not mentioned here, but approach with caution.
Thanks so much for watching! If you want to support my channel you can buy my book (it's awesome): shop.homecafebycharlie.com/
The timemores are absolute beasts at cafe volume for the price
Seriously, what a banger of a comparison. Thank you

I quite like my timemore mini for the price. Fits under a flair 58, but also fits 2 cups on top
Getting closer but still need a Pyxis alternative. 65x65x13mm is hard to beat for portability with the picopresso.
For weighing two shots with the Bookoo, I just put one cup on the scale and the other on the drip tray. Halve the expected output.
Sometimes comes out more one side than the other
I have the Felicitia, however the bookoo looks excellent. Mice comparison 👍

These things all cost money my friend.

Nice work, thank you!
time more pretty good . never failed.
Zerohero mini?
Which one was better than an Acaia?
The Bookoo!
Weightman is a solid choice to hold you over until you can get something better… or maybe you won’t need more.
Brewista Smart Scale II ❤

which mini scale would you recommend for travel pour over?
Probably the Varia
@@homecafecharlie Thanks! I am torn between the Varia and the Bookoo (with the app).
