Although it's outside my budget-- I want a Sashiko machine so badly. That's why I find it comforting to watch videos and read everything about it.
They certainly are very expensive machines, but are a great investment. Hopefully you'll be able to make it a reality some day!
Put aside some money and even keep your eyes out for Baby Lock sponsored sales events, or try and find one used.
I wish my budget would allow to purchase this machine. I have wanted one since the first one came. Love this ideas of how to use it. Thank you for sharing.
It is indeed a very fun machine! We are glad you enjoyed the video :D
Is it safe to assume that this would be ok for stitching non-weight-bearing seams?
I love it. Where can I buy a Sashiko machine in the Los Angeles area?
I live in a small town. Where does one find a sashiko machine? Approximately how much do they cost? Do they ever go on sale? How can one sign up for sales alerts?
So wish I could afford one of these. Gosh, my felting machine was so reasonable and this is so expensive.
Just got my machine and have only tried straight stitching. Takes a little getting used to. Loved the video and will refer to it when I gain experience and get ready to try new things.
Yay! Glad you liked the video. Hope you have lots of fun with your new machine! :D
😘😘😘I like this video a lots !
Thank you! Glad you like it! :D
I bought one five years ago and have a mental block about using this expensive toy.
Currently I am making a baby quilt and not going to use my quilting foot opting to
relearn how to thread and use my Sashiko I. Thanks for this nice video. :-)
That's so exciting! Hope you find a new reason to use your sashiko machine and your project is a success :)
@@WonderFilThreads With practice the first hurdle made a beautiful binding where the outer edge is more spaced and larger stitches. The second stitching line was used to help ease puckers
where i was off by a few millimeters, That line had smaller stitches and spaces.Hid wonkieness.
How large a quilt can you quilt on this machine?
Where are the machines available
Inquire with Baby Lock sewing machine dealers in your area.
I just asked myself... can I use some zipper foots with this machine? If I am on sewing vacation and only want to use one machine it would be useful.
You would need to contact a babylock dealer to find out if any zipper feet are compatible with this machine. However the general all-purpose foot that comes with it is not too big, so it's possible it could still work for sewing zippers. You can give it a try!
WonderFil Threads thank you very much! 😘 I have already contacted him but got no answer. 🤔
Not exactly the most portable machine - it is HEAVY, and big!
@@feryallrahman4890 More lightweight than my more than 100 kg industrial sewing machine. XD
Have you been able to use a 12wt thread in the machine?
Yes the 12wt works for us!
Hmmm... I can't help but feel like I have seen this before ...
Its Sa shi ko...not Sash I ko
