Thanks for the review! Planning on buying a Seat or Cupra which has Bose as the premium. I'm really needy of good mids and highs because of nice vocals etc! The acoustic one sounded really nice and crisp. The HK ones Iv heard sounds more "open" which I prefer, but is the Bose open enough to you regarding vocals and effects? I'm thinking reverb tails etc. Some tracks I had in mind were like The Midnight - Sunset, Los Angeles or just EDM stuff like Avicii - Without you or hmm.. Anoraak - Nightdrive with you (fear of tigers remix) or Dirty South - Walking alone and Find a way. Those would be nice to hear! Or I can ofc just visit a Seat store and try them out ;)

In audio settings I put the Fader a little bit to the rear. It gives som more bass. I use the Standard, I can not hear any difference between Linear and Standard.
In the previous generation Mazda 3, you were able to leave the infotainment on with audio still playing if you held down the transmission shifting button while turning the car off with the Stop/Start engine button, maybe try that?
I find the Bose system to be pretty good for pop and dance music, and also ballads where it is usually a voice and one or two complimentary instruments. But for rock and metal it seems muddy. The mid range isn't tuned best for those genres of music. I wish they added a mid control.
If you play music thru Amazon app directly, not thru Android auto you can use the Amazon in app eq itself to adjust down the mids makes a big diffrence. Also using a samsung phone you can set eq in sound app and anything played out the phone will adjust to that setting.
Agreed. I have a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo hatch...the bass is near perfect, no boominess at all, very tight. It also does a great job with music with little or no bass. By far the best factory system in any car I've owned, including a 2012 Acura TSX with premium Audio.
I had a 2014 Mazda 3 and it was like listening to an orchestra...it was magical and I now regret selling it. I bought the 2021 CX-30 and I am pretty devastated. The highs are harsh, the mids sound like it's behind a wall(because technically it is)..and the bass does not boom ( which I get they are going for, but I like that) but now I find I don't even want to listen to my music and that really a sucks. I would imagine most people would be fine with it, but coming from a sound system that for the moment I heard I was in awe ( and anyone who heard it ) this system has beyond disappointed me. Everything else aboit the car I love...but I am now on the hunt to trade it in:(
Test drove a cx30 premium and my gawd does The bose sytem is atrocious! I hated how you had to put everything on +9 to even get any bass or any sort of life out of the audio system. Super disappointed.... bose still living up to their mediocre standards
@@dornierserctajon8094 well he said segment :p and they’re both compact suv and you can get great deals on CPO xc40s if you need to buy used. I’d still take it over a cx30 or cx30 turbo

WAV files for uncompressed testing audio. Bluetooth for any other time.

My 2010 Mazda 3 has an amazing sound system too and it’s not even the Bose. I rented a 2021 cx30 and I loved it but the sound system wasn’t the best
