I never see MVG as an underdog, he is always in my view one of the favourites. Anyone writing him off is wrong, in my view despite his form. The ability is their, the threat is their and he will be in the run in for the World Championship.
Liked to see him do well , his record speaks for it self, also like to see gerwin price, johnny clayton do well, they got the game to win. They are all lacking being consistent. Let's hope they click.
@AlanBrown-d8w BDO was better when Barney won his titles your confused. PDC was weak until it developed in the early 2000s so Barney is beating MVG on world titles. Just look at 1999 BDO world championships and look at the PDC the averages in BDO in general were mainly in the 90s plus whereas the PDC was mainly in the 80s some even in the 70s the standard was lower PDC was mainly to old players that had their day if anything many of Taylor’s world titles are debatable not Barney’s.
It would just be like him to go and win the world championship you simply can never write this man off he's just to good a dart player to every do that, I'm hoping gary anderson wins as that's who I support but again write this man off is just a silly thing to do.

There not their. He has been off form for years. A shell of his former self. He has no chance of winning.
Maybe his shoulder injury had some lasting impact. His throw lacks the smoothness it used to have

I love MVG but he's going to have to turn back the clock to his form a few years ago to make it far in the world's.
