Hello, the Iona video will be up just as quickly as it'll download. I dont have wifi and rely on Vodafone 4G signal which is down at present so it's proving difficult, the joys of living on an island thats been battered by storms. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy a wee trip to Mull with us. I will get to reply to comments as I can with the signal, I'm not ignoring you, promise. Ix
We sailed past Duart castle on P&O Iona during her inaugural cruise. The massive ship must have looked mental from the shore! We're getting lots of travel ideas from your videos!
@andyandkirstie hello, aye I know, you can imagine the size of the Iona passing there. I've still not booked but I'm definitely going to. Was looking at Black Friday deals but it's only £50 off some dates so I'll wait. Oh great you're getting some ideas, thats what it's all about. Ix
Thanks for the Mull video. It was nice seeing the sites! I have to laugh at you and the elusive otter. 😂 Oh, my sister is also really enjoying your videos. She loves brochs, so she especially loved the Carloway Broch vlog. I think she recently left you a message on that one. Looking forward to seeing Iona, Iona! 🩷
@wendym-mu5dw haha I know, but as @daviemcf says, I'll see when I'm not expecting to, hope so. Oh I must have a look at that video and see if there are any new comments that Ive missed, glad she's enjoying them too, how lovely. I think you'll enjoy the Iona one too. Currently sitting in my car in a lay-by where I can get 4G replying to comment and trying (again) to upload the Iona one. The joys of not having wifi and living on an island where Vodafone doesn't work very well. Ix
Tobermory is a nice wee place. Loved the castle and grounds, Iona you'll probably see an otter when you least expect it, looking forward to Iona, nice music, all the best. 👍
@daviemcf oh thanks for being optimistic re the otters, fingers crossed. Yes Mull and Iona both lovely and definitely worth a visit, just gutted didn't get in to the castle but what we did see was great. Glad you liked the music too! Ix
Despite the huge stone walls and battlements of Duart Castle it's no protection from the savage midges. Thanks for the video...looking forward to Iona, Iona.
@markstothard630 haha I know, nothing will keep them away clearly. I'm trying to upload it now, drove to a spot I get 4G but it's not strong enough for upload so who knows when the Iona will be up but it's worth the wait haha😂 Ix
I know, not quite Greece but pretty good for this time of year. Oh the food was good I edited it and was really wishing I could have another taste of it. Ix
A great craic Iona! The only Scottish island I've been to but about 20 years ago to check out 'Balamory' 😉 with my wee girl who is now 24! Bad luck on the castle, these websites that don't update tut! Lovely Inn food, looked so cosy. Can't wait for the Iona video, I feel your pain tho, I've just had fibre fitted as videos were taking HOURS to upload 😵💫 Love to see you & mam out & about! xx. I just had a W/E with my girl 😍
@vivellasmum oh that was lovely for you both Im sure. Well we were racking our brains trying to remember the characters names and could we even remember the bus driver or the postie, nope. Yes it's a lovely island with lots of interesting places, and was nice to go with Mum. We are off to Inverness next week so Mum is happy for me to video as we go, even doing some of the video for me but doesnt really love being on the videos too much, ha. I haven't had wifi at all in my house and 4G has worked brilliant up until now, ive managed to do all my YT videos off 4G on my phone to my laptop, but you're eight, fibre is the way forward and I'll do that in my next house once I move next year. Hope alls well, glad you enjoyed the craic ha. Ix
@ericthearfaviking7579 😂 you're right, but I won't stop until I'm successful🤪 oh aye, its been dreich here but now calm and 2 degrees, while I sit in a lay-by getting 4G to reply. Ciao, Ix
Mull & Iona are fantastic. We spent 4 nights there in our campervan back in May this year. We should have stayed longer. Ah well, an excuse to return sometime.
@markp7745 yes great places and I need to go back too, you're lucky you've got a campervan to tour about in, I'd love one. May would have been a good time to see the flowers and the weather might have been quite good for you. We were lucky with the weather in October. Ix
@alanlister8810 Isn’t it lovely. Did you ever go over to Iona? It’s been too long coming for me so I’m glad to have had the opportunity this year. Haha what a laugh by the way I’ve not seen these bottles of gin since I bought them, think my mum must have pinched them. They’ll be found before Xmas and be gone by Hogmanay😂🙈. Thanks again for watching, oh the Coo seat was fun ha but the balticness of the room wasn’t. Ix
@bilingualbackpacker sorry late reply, still no internet so in a lay-by on way home from work getting a 4G signal. I have attempted t ago to St Kilda a few times, and only in September there we made it to the pier and the fog was too much so didn't get, always been something. I've provisionally booked to go when the season opens up again in April, weather permitting. Its not such a pain for me but travelling so far and it doesnt go is a disappointment, just bare that in mind but don't let it put you off going cos it'll be great. I was in Mingulay last year, that was fab and you should consider it too. I wasn't on YT then so I dont have a video up on it..just means ill need to go back ha! Ix
@@IonaMacinnes I am planning to book Mingulay too but that is not on sale yet for next season. I am going to be in South Uist for a full week so I have one day booked for St Kilda and a second day kept in reserve in case the first one is cancelled. I'm from Lanarkshire but now live in Northern England so it's a big trip going so far north now. The southern isles like Arran are most accessible to me. I was there in August and made a video on it. So next year I hope to get to 6 islands and make 6 videos!
Oh if you’re going from Eriskay then it’s David Steele so I’ve tried to get with him a few times, will be fine in spring tho, great! You’ll be busy next year that’s fab. Ix
