    Good review. I've been researching turkey vests and just found your channel recently. I think I'm sold on the Knight & Hale after seeing your review. It seems like a great value. The M2 is insanely pricey and looks like it has some minor design flaws that need worked out. I'd also be careful trusting the reviews on THP website. Their fanboy cult will eat up anything those guys do.

      I’m glad you found us! I do love my Knight & Hale. I just wish the bag was bigger! But, I’m very happy with the M2. We’ll get back out there soon with it and put it to the test again! 😁

    I’ve been waiting on this review! I got one after Turkey season last year. Watched a lot of videos by THP and Tethrd and was able to get it setup. Anxiously awaiting to put it to use soon. Thanks for your review and good luck this upcoming season!! I did get mine on sale, like you said if you keep your eye on their website you can get for less.

    Do the shoulder straps get in way way when mounting your shotgun?

      Not at all. They’re very thin.

    This is definitely a great review. I purchased the vest recently and will be doing some hunting in it this year. I would agree that their instructions they supply are not good at all. I feel bad for someone that may not use TH-cam etc. as they are going to struggle putting it together. I am excited about how compact to the body the vest seems to be compared to almost all traditional vests. My only complaint so far is the seat. If you watch M2's videos they show that all you have to do is flip your seat and sit down. They even show it with the HP guys as sitting tight up against your back until you want to flip it down. Unfortunately I am finding you can't do that. I am 6ft tall and fairly thin fellow, but for me to be able to flip the seat and sit down I have to have the straps so loose that when I am walking it's hitting the back of my legs which I hate. I think the seat is a bad design and a flaw in their system. Some people may like the seat flopping around behind their knees but I can't stand it. I think they should have went with a magnet style that's easy to flip down. Flipping the seat around like they show online is not easy either. They actually don't show a user flipping the seat and always show them doing it for someone else. It's not easy. I agree with your review. I think it's going to be a great vest but the seat design is a major flaw.

      Thank you! I can see that for sure. I happen to not mind it. I walked around with it down most of the time.

    That’s a nice turkey vest maby some other companies will be inspired by it. I always wanted to design my own, so far alps hasn’t taken any of my advice. The biggest hurdle with this one is the price tag, if you wait for it to be on sale I sopose it’s not terrible it’s just hard to imagine buying a turkey vest for more than my USA made mystery ranch fire line pack. But you get what you pay for, hopefully the m2 has a good warranty

    • @ReviewThisThing
      @ReviewThisThing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They say it has a year warranty and everything after that is a case by case basis. I kind of feel like @Tethrdnation cares enough about their reputation that surely they would take care of it if there was an issue.

    I just recently picked this up on tethered nation's website and it was on sale. After receiving the system, I noticed right away that the seat strap that came with the system is not the same type of strap shown in the tethered 's demo videos. I guess that elastic green strap cost $50. The seat does not function the same as the set up video demonstrates. Which is the main reason why I purchased this system. Now, instead of a stretchy material you have the same backpack strap like webbing that causes the seat to more or less flip down rather than pop out. This little detail means that you cannot cinch the seat up as close to the body as this video demonstrates. Caveat emptor

      Well, that's weird. Did you reach out to customer service? I wouldn't be very happy about that.

    The only thing on this vest that I don't like is the seat. I do not like having it bouncing around my backside when I'm walking, but if I tighten it up anymore I can't really get it down far enough to sit on it. Other than that, I love this vest

    It looks like a vest you can use for scouting, upland and deer hunting, so there is that additional functionality as well.

    They are not the only made in the US Turkey vest. I’ve notified them on multiple occasions, but the false advertisement remains. You have to read the fine print when it comes to Tethrd, however it can be difficult to see with “Made in the US” all over the website.

    Yes, made in the USA really increases the price..but the THP guys also claim all proceeds from their sales goes back to turkey research. So, there's that as well.

    Finally an unbiased review. Thanks for covering all the features about the vest. Yes, price is the biggest drawback, however several other companies have vests that are priced a lot higher. Thanks again, I appreciate your videos.

      @scottharrington2400 What companies sell a vest "priced a lot higher" than $300? The only one I've found is the Final Rise Summit vest is $325.
