Oh man i remember my cousin renting the whole set of tapes of the hong kong dubbed version (back when the HK dubbers were still godly). All the memories... Pretty sad that this anime gets ignored by the vast majority of mecha-fan community...
this anime is a classic. first watched it when it came out in HK and proceeded to buy the first 2 vcd box set. its a shame i didnt get the rest since it ended at such a cliff-hanger, the part where suzano sheds his first skin, and i've been trying to find the rest ever since. oh yeah SUZANO ROCKS.

Suzanoo the robot of destruction is revive by Yamato Takeru and uses his destructive power for good, a robot that can use the arm pad for a davestating blow, a giant sword summoned from the moon for a quick victory, can witstand the heats of a volcanic larva and the only robot that can actually eat the volcanic rocks and drink the larva like a human to revive himself and boost power...what more can we want from this amazingly lovable mech...Suzanoo`s one of the best mech heroes...yay Suzanoo...

Quite possible all stories are combinatorial in nature...as in it's probably just some higher body mixing and matching....so that work easily work easily...sometimes some stories don't work easily and there is a lot of effort needed..... Perhaps for the stories that need a lot of effort....there is a portion of the story that resonates so strongly with the base code that the people want to explore the story to know if it's worth the effort.... So yeah...I guess if something resonates strongly....then it is a tradeoff between going through the journey to get the reward.....or looking for another story.....

グレイ的には忘れたい過去でもないだろ。曲的にも今と同じようなもんだし。
むしろデビュー当時から一定以上のクオリティの曲を作れるバンドだったって証明みたいなもんだ。
むしろこれがあったからクロムクロや今のグレンダイザーも担当してくれたと思っている

実写映画のほうの主題歌がGLAYなのは知っていたからアニメ版も同時に担当していたのを知ったときは驚いた。思ったよりアニソンとしてはまってる。
ちなみに映画の主題歌がアニメのEDに使われてます。

AXN used to air an Eng dub of this anime back in the day in India. but sadly i guess that dub has been lost in time.
Wow I thought I was the only one who remembered. I worked hard to track down a fan made sub for the chinese dub. Still gotta go back and watch it.
