Actually breathed a sigh of relief with the second setup, considering how much money I just burned on making a magic tank setup in the hopes it'd get me into bossing I hadn't been able to do before.
That or take one or two zammy brews if you are comfortable with food in the later stages of the fight, they take more health per sip when you are at high hp.
As long as you backload the big hits like shatter and overpower in the p4 rotation it's still doable. Melee suffers a bit with being able to do the 200k at the end, but if you either preshatter or just be sure to hit late it's doable

It's a hard boss. The methods here are the easiest to get consistent kills. Difficulty is a very subjective concept always, some find zammy easy, some find it impossible at 100%.
personally i don't think gear is the issue or budget setup its the fact learning full manual would make anything possible. learning full manual is the super hard part.
With mage and fsoa would p4 just be save the shatter and do fsoa rot and shatter at the end ? Iv never killed solak but I have much better gear than In this vid so now it’s got me thinking I need to learn it. Just need to watch the complete guide to learn the mechs I guess
@@michaelanderson7274 sorry late reply. I mean, I have fsoa on my iron, but I mainly solo everything I possibly can aside from vorago and raids Iv never done a single solak kill on any account. And I’m now aod and solak off reaper crew. So gonna give this a go
Sucks that there's no inferior version of abilities, but also I went out of my way to not use caroming, which makes it not nearly as good, and certainly not needed for this method.
@@TheRSGuy apreciate ur quick awnser, i tried with nox bow and t90 sirenic without grico only differences from your preset and did not go well.. then again i dont have the same experience has you of course but ye pretty sure if i had grico would help a tiny bit ahah (ironlife...)
@@elxandi8348 the only thing it helps with is getting to 400 stacks during P2, without Grico P2 would take a little longer but doesn't impact p3 or p4 in a meaningful way Good luck on kills, you got this!

I never know when to use shard anyway, don't think it will help me much when you need that extra damage.

I did lots of testing for melee
Even with near bis it's just significant more difficult to survive and hit the DPS checks
