My mother watched The Edge of Night when I was a kid. Growing up in California, I used to think that the city skyline was San Francisco but later found out it was Cincinnati. I had this weird feeling whenever I seen the opening intro when I was a kid that the camera would move across the San Francisco Bay from Oakland to SF.
The original opening of 'The Edge of Night' featured a black-and-white photograph of the Cincinnati skyline as a dark 'edge' moved across the TV screen simulating nighttime. The opening was reshot in color in 1967 using time-lapse photography.

I remember that. I grew up watching the Edge of Night with my mother in the 60s and 70s.
