What people were saying back then was if China were to take MLBB's esports seriously, they had the potential to be a giant in it much like every other MOBA esports they've been a part in. Look at Dota and League as an example. Unfortunately, HOK is much bigger than MLBB and has deeper roots in there so only a few even try the game out, which results in the more talented players going pro on HOK and not MLBB. It's as simple as that.
