    I first bought M&S hot chicken curry many moons ago, in fact 1980.Then it really was beautiful but now it's not the same taste and i swear the tin is smaller.

    • @Papparoni
      @Papparoni  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say the tins are smaller these days, and I miss many foods from the 80s that were far better than today's offerings.

    CHICKEN CURRY in a tin for £3. much too expensive, I hope someone can donate a tin for me, or otherwise that meal is out of the question for me 🥵 But its nice of him to do that 👍

    I went into M and S yesterday with the intention to buy a can of... Times have changed and prices have gone up. I cannot remember the actual price but it gone up to £3.65. A little too much for my pocket.
    Good review though🙏

      Everything is going up by the week at the moment David, and that trend is set to continue unfortunately. Most of these canned curries taste the same, just less chicken the cheaper you go :)

    I haven't had this curry for ages. I really like it 😋With some microwave basmati rice, mini garlic and coriander naans, and a blob of mango chutney or raita on the side, makes a lovely quick meal. I have always liked M&S tinned curries. I remember when the chicken used to be all shredded up in them. I actually really liked it like that. I often add shredded cooked chicken to curry sauces. I find it really absorbs the flavour. Great review Pappa👍

      I totally get that Emily. I do the same with beef. I use brisket sometimes just to shred it into the base, utterly lush :)

    It looks like M&S have pulled another success out of the bag with this one Papp. A good amount of chicken there for a 400g can and that coconut mango curry sauce what a flavour combo 👍.
    Nothing wrong with a bit of sourdough bread to soak up the sauce.
    Next time Aldi does a British food special I'll grab a jar of Mrs H.S Balls Mango Chutney and stir some into a coconut chicken curry 🤤.
    So that's the 3rd Marvel and Spend meal you've reviewed and a good one at that.
    Cheers Papp. 😀
