BioShock Remastered - This Was Incredible

Reviewing the Bioshock Remastered intro guided tour.
Talking about why it's so effective, and distinct from anything we have in gaming today.
Again, the majority of AAA games use walking cutscenes to replace Valve guided tours, and I think they are generally inferior.
The Last Of Us worked because it was a The Road rip off, walking was the point, it does not work for every game ever.

Valve guided tours are still very rare and valuable today. I even consider inferior versions like Far Cry's 2 jeep intro to be better then all Ubisofts shovel ware in the last 10 years.

They're coming out with BioShock 4 it's being worked on

That is true but it is mostly a fresh faced team and whether or not Bioshock 4 resembles System Shock 2 its progenitor and is an immersive sim is largely up in the air. Was Starfield Skyrim in space? Or was it Destiny planet generating algorithm edition?

I also don't think asset flips are necessary. Taking this intro and throwing into Unreal Engine 5, making the bathosphere window 2.5 times dustier in the next remake. That's not gaming, and it's missing the point.

fix your audio
