2:19 in the Philippines we call that boodlefight except that all the foods are mixed together and not separated. People would bring their own food then a large banana leaves would be laid down where they will mix all the foods. On some occasions, as a form of entertainment. we also hide some chilis on the food and whoever eats it is the winner. Though this practice is more commonly seen in the military.
Stargate I have 2 TVs. One in my parents room, but that’s only for cameras and (if it works) football stuff. And I have another one in my living room which we use all the time.
But in West Bengal we are using these leaves from very old days. Plates has become popular in get together and in other ceremonies a few decades ago only. Still there are abundant use of banana leaves can be seen. I personally prefer it over ceramic plates or thermocol plates during various ceremonial occasions.
I find it crazy that in other countries recycling is not only expected but mandatory, but in the US there are some places that don't even offer recycling services. Even crazier is that I will likely recieve a lot of negative comments for being a "tree hugger."
nicole scott yes i agree a million times! I have to always encourage my family to not buy stuff that cant be recycled but its so hard not everyone listens! And now recently they told us we can only recycle #1 and #2 plastic, paper that is non glossy, cans, glass and thats it! I was shocked like what!!!
There's no where around my area that takes recycling. People kept leaving their trash there, so they removed it. I grew up recycling and it pains me to have to throw it in the trash because there's no where to take it.
I'm from Nigeria and sachet water is extremely popular here (water in plastic sachet) just like in Canada and it's still optional... And there are still many festivals here held by different tribes 😊
In Brazil our milk comes in plastic bags too, there are milk in box also but we call those milk "lifelong milk", because they last more, but they also has more quemicals to be more durable.

I am from the UK and you don’t need a separate TV license for each TV in your household. You just pay for one license and you can have as many TV’s as you want 😁
It's due to BBC. We in Finland used to have same licensing system to finance state media corporation YLE, but in 2013 it was replaced by tax paid from income.
yeah, i was really confused when I heard it, i asked my dad and he confirmed that it is not and has never been this way (as far as he knows but he had a scolarship at Cambridge University so I belive almost everything he tells me)
I don’t think it’s the case all over Canada, though. I remember a video I was watching and during a part where the players were asked if they’ve seen milk in bags and Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko was asked about if he’s seen that before and he was confused. Maybe it’s not a thing in western Canada.
I came scrolling to see if another UK resident commented regarding the tv license, once I saw that information was totally incorrect, it has made me question how correct anything else is from other countries.
Fun fact: we have the exact same "tv license" in Germany. It is called "GEZ" and it´s listed as a "tv tax" for public television. The costs and rules are roughly the same as the ones for the British tv license. So I guess it´s not as "crazy" or "strange" as the clip might try to imply :D
In private residential homes yes, it is one license per residence . The only exception is if the property is listed as a House of Multiple Occupancy then each resident will need a TV license for a TV in their room. www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ35 *Disclaimer: They don't check I would like argue that the creator is spreading misinformation but the BBC really does not help us here. I'm all for making people accountable to enforce their right to vote but should they make an uninformed vote just because they have to check a box? Look at the US. No one forces people to vote but 40% of voters just go with the slogan that appeals to them without actually knowing anything about the person that they're voting for or really caring.
An if my understanding of american elections is correct they tend to vote during the week and are required to queue up for a long time just to vote. Even more reason not to vote. But in australia it takes all of 15 minutes to vote, on a saturday, including finding the parking. So if you get fined, it is most likely 100% your own fault due to laziness etc.

@@Goldi-Luc Not really - some countries use taxation to fund their public service TV, we use a TV Licence which puts it at arms length from Government and the BBC's charter puts it editorially free from influence from the Government but the Government still controls how much we pay for it. In Jamaica,we only use banana leaves as plate when we're in the field.
This was very informative and I enjoyed watching the video and learning new things about different countries.
Actually eating on banana leaves is practiced in sothern parts of India and this habit reached Indonesia .
But in West Bengal we are using these leaves from very old days. Plates has become popular in get together and in other ceremonies a few decades ago only. Still there are abundant use of banana leaves can be seen. I personally prefer it over ceramic plates or thermocol plates during various ceremonial occasions.
In Kerala we eat on banana leaves during festive occation especially Onam and Hindu marriage feasts are given on banana leaves. Its a custom.
It is used in Northeast India too... During festivals
its used in phillipines too

I find it crazy that in other countries recycling is not only expected but mandatory, but in the US there are some places that don't even offer recycling services. Even crazier is that I will likely recieve a lot of negative comments for being a "tree hugger."

Even worse, there's many places in the US where you have to pay an extra fee to recycle.
Don't worry India is recycle free

Nice one. A bit more research goes a long way👍
I came scrolling to see if another UK resident commented regarding the tv license, once I saw that information was totally incorrect, it has made me question how correct anything else is from other countries.
The only exception is if the property is listed as a House of Multiple Occupancy then each resident will need a TV license for a TV in their room. www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ35 *Disclaimer: They don't check

I'm all for making people accountable to enforce their right to vote but should they make an uninformed vote just because they have to check a box? Look at the US. No one forces people to vote but 40% of voters just go with the slogan that appeals to them without actually knowing anything about the person that they're voting for or really caring.
@@jessicacyr6669 I see what your getting at and yes a lot of people do that in Australia to, but most people know about the different parties.
An if my understanding of american elections is correct they tend to vote during the week and are required to queue up for a long time just to vote. Even more reason not to vote. But in australia it takes all of 15 minutes to vote, on a saturday, including finding the parking.
