Great review, I have a 2024 on order with manual stick. I went for carmine red exterior and two-tone leather interior in bordeaux red/black and carbon fiber trim. Had a 2015 Boxster GTS and have always regretted selling it. Now that they are going over to electric and discontinuing naturally aspirate 4.0, seemed like the right time to get one. Hope to get mine in late July, so very excited and your excellent review has helped build anticipation! By the way, totally agree about the Porsche crests in seat head rests....total must for the overall quality look! Cheers
Wow! Thanks a lot for the kind words, comment & detailed feedback! Congrats in advance on your new ride, the spec sounds awesome! Definitely come back & let us know once you’ve taken delivery and put some miles on! 👍🏾

Great video 🤓!!! Last year in February 2023, I acquired my new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 which has the 4L NA flat six cylinder engine (same unit as a GT4) and a PDK gearbox. Power output (394 bhp) and torque (317 lb-ft) are a nice match to this car's sensible curb weight (~3200 lbs). The color is Gentian Blue metallic with a black/chalk all-leather interior and silver wheel rims. It's definitely an entertaining driver's car! So far, I've only done 452 miles but hopefully a lot more this coming Summer! The PDK is also a lot of fun (it's definitely quick) 🤓 All the best and thanks again from Colorado! Wow! Thanks for the nice comment & super detailed feedback! Also, congrats on what sounds like an amazing spec for the GTS 4.0! 👍🏾 I’ve got a review up of the GT4 if you haven’t watched that already and I should get a Cayman GTS 4.0 on the channel soon! 😉
Nice overview! And what a spec! I’ve seen many 718 reviews, and you picked an example far different from most. I ordered my 2024 Cayman GTS in a similar spec. Carmine Red is a bit darker, but I got the same Espresso/Cognac interior (I call it Peanut Butter Cup) with CF trim instead of polished aluminum. ❤ the luxurious look, but it’s No Longer Available on new orders. Mine also has those 5 spoke wheels, but painted black inside the polished outlines. And it’s a 6 speed 😎 This is my first Porsche after owning over 30 BMWs, and it makes every drive an occasion.
Wow! Thanks a lot for the comment & detailed feedback! First, congrats on purchasing an amazing ride! Second, good job on the color & spec, I’m sure it looks incredible! If you haven’t already, check out the GT4 review on the channel! Also, going to eventually have a Boxster GTS 6-speed & a Cayman GTS 4.0 6-speed review made, so hopefully you come back for more! 👍🏾
@@Drive_Culture My build has been submitted. I chose Carmine Red with Classic Design wheels in gloss black, black leather interior and a beloved Manual Transmission!
Thanks for the comment and congrats on the new ride, you’re gonna love it! What color interior did you go with? We’re gonna have a Boxster GTS (non 4.0) on the channel this Friday, so hopefully you subscribed to come back for more!
the two-tone mocca/cream leather interior of this new porsche boxster fits the "guards red" exterior like a clenched fist fits in an eye-socket: enough said.
Great video. Just one minor comment. At 16:40, you mention easy access to change the oil. I’m guessing you haven’t changed the oil on one of these. 😂 Definitely not an easy task. However, it does have easy access to add some oil. 👍🏼
Wow! Thanks for the nice comment & feedback! No, I haven’t ever changed the oil on one of these… so definitely a Freudian slip! 🤣 I’m actually gonna shoot a 718 Boxster GTS this weekend, so I’ll be sure to not say that again! 👍🏾
You may know that the 718 is the same car as the 981. Different motors and updates to Suspension etc. But it looks the same except for front and rear clips.
Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! Good point for sure! Which gen do you like better? Be sure to check out the other 718 videos and hope you subbed to come back for more! 👍🏾

Interesting to hear your views on this car. I have one in Guards Red but with black leather interior. It is an amazing car. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah this car was a lot of fun to drive! Do you have the PDK too? It really is an awesome transmission!
Yes, PDK. I had tried the manual version and disliked everything about it.
Nice overview! And what a spec!

Just subscribed. I’m currently number 2 on the list for a GTS 4.0 here in Pa. Nice job with the review.
Wow! Thanks for the comment & sub! Congrats on the allocation as well. Let us know what color / spec you finally end up with!

Great review as always Jonathan! Let ‘er rip!
Thanks so much for the comment & feedback! Yes, I loved driving this thing… the owner of this car is one lucky guy indeed!
Amazing! Great review. Thank you.
Wow! Thanks for the nice comment! Hopefully you’ll come back for more!
Thanks!
Thanks always for the amazing support! 🙌🏾
Love the shout out to Sarah-n-Tuned with "give it the beans!"
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah I’ve met her before & like her vids!
@@Drive_Culture Y'all need to collab - she loved the sh** out of the Integra and should do a follow-up on it!
And Donut media
BTW - It’s a common British phrase and in TH-cam carland use it originated with our channel The Car Guys TV
Be color natural and Burmester, this is very rare spec!!!
Thanks for the comment! Yes, this is a very rare & unique spec indeed!
Needs a manual
Thanks for the comment! I don’t disagree! Driving the manual GT4 was amazing!
I have a Cayman GTS 4.0 as a daily driver. The clutch travel is quite long on the current Porsches, so I opted for the PDK.
I just had built a 2025 Boxster S, automatic in Adventurine Green. Delivery in November or December!
Thanks for the comment and congrats on the new ride, you’re gonna love it! What color interior did you go with? We’re gonna have a Boxster GTS (non 4.0) on the channel this Friday, so hopefully you subscribed to come back for more!
I went with agate grey interior and the dark red top.
nice review.........very good insights

Ha! Thanks for the comment & good laugh! Can’t agree more! 👍🏾
Great specs, great video! Maybe I missed out, but does it have a special exhaust?
Thanks for the nice comment! The exhaust was the Porsche OEM sport exhaust, which comes standard with the GTS trim!
needs aftermarket exhaust. JCR or Kline
nice car dude
Thanks for the comment! It sure is, now I gotta figure out how to buy one! 🤣

Where can you get that mesh for the front?
Thanks for the comment! Search for Radiator Grille Store or RGS! That’s where the owner bought the parts from! 👍🏾
Please learn to correctly pronounce the marque of the car you are reviewing. There is only one correct pronunciation. Otherwise, decent review.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I was always taught by Porsche people that’s how it was pronounced though! 🤣
The car is a German car and it’s pronounced “por-sha”. Only the Brits call it “porsh”.
@@drbobs8267 no, there are plenty of ignorant Americans who pronounce it incorrectly as well.
