I started playing the game around the time Chisgule started, 5 years ago. And I quit the game around 2 years ago when crystal technology was introduced.
Recently I have an itch to go back to the game. But after watching this video, the itch is scratched.
The crystal tech was the final straw. It made me realize that no matter how much I spend, it’s never gonna be enough. This game is an abysmal blackhole that sucked away all my time for three years and almost $1000. I’m not gonna do that again. Thank you Chisgule for making this video and reminding me how greedy Lilith is. For anyone who is reading this far, thank you too and I hope you find the courage the quit the game soon. I am free from the chain of RoK!
I am glad I watched this video and read this comment, I just downloaded the game again for some reason and was about to spend to push T5, but it is never ending spending even after that, nope, uninstalled.
I have returned to the game after 2 years hiatus, and honestly, that $20 on crystals that Chisgule has shown is what honestly what made it a level playing field between low and high spenders in open field combat. So not sure what you are referring to. $20 for every 3 months is certainly not F2P, but certainly a low spender account, especially if compared with how spending used to be several years ago in kvk
@@mastersmeagol20 $20 in crystal tech gets you absolutely nothing, what are you talking about? Max tech is $1600 and if you have not touched your account in 2 years, it will be complete trash anyway.
LIkewise, I started about five years ago. Been in off and on. Recently quit when I realised that I'd spent 70 quid on one switch game that I still play years later. That's value. I have no problem with paying for a good experience. I've also spent 80 quid on watching cricket lmao. I absolutely do not begrudge the money I spent on this game. I do object, however, to the lie that wasting money makes you look cool. It could be the best game on any format ever that will ever be (Spoiler alert: it isn't even the best mobile game that currently is) but when it's made clear that you need a thousand pounds a year to consider being useful, then I could be a s rich as Bezos and still think that someone, somewhere is taking the mickey

I just started an account and see that there should be rechargge coming but I see the caveat that this does not apply to all ways of getting gems - e.g. Supply depot. Is that new or are we talking different recharge?

I don't think Lilith should get rid of Crystal Tech but I think they should reduce the cost by 25-50%. Would probably reduce retiring/quitting rate.
Reduces revenue too though. Remember it is a business at the end of the day

I have played low spender for about 2.5 years and I would not bother with garrison. You'll never win against a rally, especially with the current commanders.

Bro i just migrate to 3025 as they were C seed, i want more chill KVK reqs, anyways turns out were in KVK prep stages against CHISGULE, so half my Kingdom mutinied and we have a civil war that will crush our ability to even be remotely competitive, bruh.

Is it better value to spend on events or buy all the 24 hour speed ups and Materials in the VIP shop?
I’d say that event tiered rewards in holy knight or wheel give more value.
@@Chisgule the problem for me is I hate it so much when I get epic blueprints or research speedups. It really grinds my gears, so I’d stopped doing events and just max out the vip shop. Will have a rethink. Just wish they would adjust the wheels. Needs a refresh

No, rallying is for people who spend, otherwise you are just going to take bad trades for you kingdom.
make a COD one comparing troops vs tech for t4s vs t5s in the same tier system you have here. liek is getting an artifact good or just amassing troops.
Does somebody know why for me the prices at the plutomall and rise of kingdoms are 5.99$, or 11.99$ or 59.99$… At the beginning of the game the prices were normal for me (ex 5$) but sins 2months everything is more expensive. Even at the plutomall!!!

Thank you for this video. As others here in the comment section mentioned, this game is so huuuuge p2w or very time consuming. I started this gaming around 2018-2019 i quit this game a few months later and started it again. I will never spent so much money on a mobile game thats such p2w like rok or call of dragons. Quit the game is the right choise for me.
Thank you for this. I can't say I'm surprised. I was wondering, do you have any tips on how to find the weaker KDs that you speak of? Places where peasants like me that do Lucerne now and again, and gem supply on my birthday and have a few laughs?
(BTW in my opinion, 150k over 5 years for a content creator is sane, The cost of a AAA console/PC game a month is justifiable, but I'm old fashioned and I do one off costs preferably.. The cost of a new game and console/PC every month is very very daft, but its your money. I absolutely don't want to get involved with that kind of foolishness, however. 500k in seconds is daft. Like obviously criminal on one level or another. It's not to be applauded, in my opinion. There's something wrong there).
Im already afraid to play this game when he mentioned he spend around 150k over 5 years...30k per year...2.5k per month...Im afraid because i know that im easily triggered to spend over competition...especially when leader placed me in R4....I play similar games like this long time ago...clash of kings...if the benchmark for the whale alone reaches 2.5K per month...I just doesnt want to play and compete...
Let me tell you more about how to spend. If you do, just buy 1 Lucerne scroll per month or whatever the timing is. From there invest in WSG, Hera, QB, Zenobia, ZL and all the commanders that can chain barbs. During KVK, don't do open field fights. Just protect towers or reinforce rally. Spend universals on barb chaining heroes and that's gonna be it. You'll get a huge army in no time (because of extra resources, gems and speedups), you'll have expertised some great commanders, you'll support your kingdom significantly. Thank me later. Bb

Crystal tech makes it rough to play this game you are at least having to spend like 100 bucks per year on the lower end not to get manhandled

The flux script from RoK dodging royalties to IOS and Android are only a pitiful 10% value at best. If they entertained 20% value extra plus occasions where it’s more, I’d look into it.
I buy my IOS gift cards at 10-20% off in sales.

Nobody should spend any money on ROK. As long as u only have time in the game u can uninstall and pick a better game at any time. The problem is new players can never catch older players. Crystal tech is the biggest waste. I am not a Lilith apologist. Any money u spend will force u to spend more money later to justify the first expenditure. Pass on this game and spend ur money on ur family or wardrobe. important things.
There’s a reason why there are so many guides for spending. It helps you to effectively spend on this game. I think the most useful expenditure strategy is low-mid spending (€50-200/month), it is what I do. I have lots of money left over to do things I want like eat out and spend time with friends and family. Everyone has a very different financial situation, I just happen to be fortunate enough to have enough room for spending on a mobile game.

I quit after S3, not interested in crystal tech. The requirement for spending has gotten higher since I quit years ago so I'm glad I quit. The game is still fun to watch though, so that's what we're here for eh?

Play until kvk1 then after that, don't. The amount of speed ups and resources required to sustain t5 is horrendous.

anything above super value spending and you are actually an addict. calling it value spending when you spend 200-300 USD a month on a mobile game is insane.
ive played this game since mid 2020 and i only spend on lucerne, writer of history, vanquisher, gem supply and crystal supply for SoC. this alone makes ROK the most expensive game iver ever played, i pay monthly in this game what an AAA title retails for once

So end game requires you to spend $400 every 3 months because your skills reset. Youre purchasing skills and theyre literally taking it away from you 3 months later and throwing it away so you can rebuy it. Thanks for the heads up😂... uninstalling this pay to win BS.
Well, technically it's not throwing away since all this money spent on crystal tech bundles gives you not just crystals but also
1) gems
2) other stuff in the bundles
3) crystal is converted to coins which you spend to buy legendary materials, blueprints, city skins, gold heads etc in the kvk shop. The value of those is quite high and they're not lost. The coins are not lost either, you can save them for the next kvk
Essentially though yes, you're right. It's a $400 quarterly batle pass on top of the $10 lucerne scrolls (monthly batle pass). Plus you should be getting the monthly gem bundle. So it's $150/month to play this game IF you don't get too competitive and whale out. Which most do at some stage.
This is not a spending guide. I've never seen anyone saying "spending 99,99 for some speedups is best value and it's not that much amount of money". Plus- kids are watching... Dude, you get my disrespect on this one right here
