i had bantam about 8-10 years ago. Fun times. One time i had to ride it in a rain because i had long way home and there was no shelter to sit the rain out. Bearings were fucked after that. Anyway i dont understand why you need to ride it when its raining. Artsy farsty stuff

are the bantam survived with years of beating? because iam on my way to make a purchase of a used one with rusty cup and hardware here and there.
I really wanted this particular board so bad but no ones sale in new condition in my area.

Indeed they are...All but bearings, as long as you immediately take them out when you get home.
Just pop off the bearing shields and take a blowdryer on hot to them.
Apply skate oil as needed...
Make sure to spin bearings while drying. I just lay down the blowdryer on the counter and spin the bearing.
Get them nice and hot, you should be good to go.
