he's super humble, you don't see the huge title like: HELPING THE HOMELESS CHINESE NEW YEARS or some eye catching title to gain viewers like most youtubers who help them just for views. Keep up the good work J Lin
Love how Lin still keeps making vids even though he's already "made it" and rolling in the NBA dough. Keep it real and hope you continue to have success.
Steven .Phu If the Lakers finally let him start full-time next season (if they DO keep him around and they better) and give him the same amount of playing time that they unwisely gave Kobe early on this season, he'll be a Top 10 PG in this league AT THE VERY LEAST. Even the way he's been playing since coming back from the break is right up there with the Top 5 guys like Chris Paul and Damian Lillard AND IT'S SUSTAINABLE. Linsanity was no fluke, but merely a taste of what was to come from Lin. Now we're starting to see it for ourselves! :-)
PeekaPeep i doubt theyll start him due to media coverage of him and his apparently bad turnover ratio. even though he is showing hes a capable ball handler. there people wanting clarkson to start over lin. lin is the best pg they have and right now their best player
Steven .Phu Lin's turnover ratio has gone way down this season, largely because he's finally getting a chance to play on a more consistent basis. Even Steve Nash during his prime under D'Antoni was averaging just over 3 turnovers a game, which is right around where Lin has been since last season with Houston. As for Clarkson, he's a SG and even Byron Scott has admitted to this on more than one occasion. Put Lin at the 1 and Clarkson at the 2 next season (hopefully), Lakers starting backcourt will be set long-term. Then they can just phase Kobe out soon and bring in a young center with Jordan/Whiteside-level ability and they'll be back in business!
You know what? I like this. Everyone on youtube n whatever goes about helping homeless by showing videos of them giving things but none of them really ever get to know the people themselves and let their stories be heard. I learnt a lot in this vid and I'm glad a dude like Jeremy is around to show us.
I did a project during my undergrad years that had us spend the weekend at a homeless shelter and interact with homeless people and I must say it was quite an eye-opening experience. The perception we have on homelessness vs. the reality: big difference! It was really sweet of you and your brother to do this and I love the bible quotation at the end.
I've always seen Jeremy with thr chance at being a great player. He has so much potential, he just needs to be more aggressive and take more shots. With Kobe out they really don't have anyone to score and Jeremy has shown moments of greatness but needs to be more consistent.
Steven .Phu Oh, TO have always been a huge problem, and something haters love to pick at. They also speak loads of how good/bad he's feeling about that particular game. He's got a good head on his shoulder, and good people working with him. They've got it covered without us poking our nosy heads in.
Your selflessness is truly inspiring Jeremy... throughout all the fame and the fortune you have gained in the past years you have maintained your genuine character which is why you have so much loyalty and respect from your peers, fans and colleagues. Keep doing what you're doing and more great things are sure to follow.
Jeremy, you're a wonderful human being. People who hate on you will never have half the compassion and empathy you do. I'm your biggest supporter, and always will be.
To be so generous and empathetic, he really is something special. Thanks Jeremy, for sharing your message and a bit of your daily life. Your fans really do appreciate it.
Jeremy i hope you'll get a chance to have better teammates if not get traded to a better team next season. you deserve better because I know you're a great player. there's just a lot of people who underestimate you. you have a lot of potential when you realize you need to step up. I miss you playing for Houston, but even though you're not on my team, I'll still continue to support you.
not only does he have no airs whatsoever about him, he genuinely cares about making a positive impact in small ways. he challenges everything i always assumed about nba players.
Your faith always keeps me strong. These videos feel more rare and rare now, but you're trying to be the best you can be which I'm glad you're trying to do! Winning or losing I have faith in you! #LinsanitysNotDead
I was doing a nostalgic Jeremy Lin tour and was looking at many of his videos. This is video remains among my favorites. He truly cares about those who are at disadvantage.
+Nathan Barry it drives me crazy how some people are fake Christians. My dad, step uncle, are both fake and my sister was a Christian but is now an atheist and I literally cried when she said she hated religion.
You're one of my favorite basketball players for a reason. It's been a tough year for you this year, and my favorite team the Los Angeles Lakers. But you guys have put in work and regrouped, and though you guys won't make the playoffs this year, hopefully next year you guys surprise some people. I really hope you stay with the Lakers, but wherever you go your fans will support. You have really stayed true to what you said this video. I can see the work you put in during the All-star break. Your mentality has been more aggressive, you've been under control, and you're playing phenomenal. Keep grinding Lin.
Another wonderful video, Jeremy! Thank you for all you have done while being who you are, pursuing what you believe in, and continuing to inspire us. I am especially touched with seeing how you spread the spirit of giving in Chinese New Year and shedding light to us about the lives of homeless people, contrasting myths of celebrity and homelessness. Keep up with all the great works you have done and we will always support you!
No matter who we are or where we are in life, everyone has a unique story to tell--and this video just affirms that even further. Keep up all the awesome work, Jeremy.
You're a great player, it's unfortunate that you got caught up in a team that hasn't been consistent recently. Even though your season is kind of rough right now, you still go and take time to catch a break and be a nice guy. You trained vigorously to be who you are right now. Young Asian basketball players look up to you and admire your path. I hope in the future you can play up to your potential and make it back to Linsanity. Most relatable NBA player, Jeremy Lin.
I hope you have a good second half of the season Jeremy! Your one of my favorite players and I hope you get a good contract! GO JEREMY LIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
edap You don't get the point of my comment. A lot of people don't "BOTHER." Because they always think they are druggies. Maybe if they could change the way they act, they would know the difference. There are also fake homeless people out there. I see a few, so it is hard not to judge. I would love to help the homeless, but somehow, they have to represent themselves better.
Lucas Wenberg You don't seem to get where I'M coming from. I'm referring to people, who don't CARE if they're druggies, or homeless. They just assume things about the homeless, that they're lazy, don't bother to get a job, are druggies, (fill in the blank). It all depends on the type of ignorant person we're talking about. Yeah, maybe if they "changed the way they acted" there would be a difference, but the fact that they don't feel the NEED to is the problem.
I feel that Jeremy Lin is socializing with a lot people who are not even close to where he is in terms of success but he stills feel for people and helps them out. Although he is a professional basketball player, he still finds time for others, and thats what I like most about him. He is definitely my favourite NBA player and I will support him throughout. Cheers!
I actually just had a long conversation with one of my friends about how I have never gave food to a homeless person before. I went to a kfc once and a homeless person was outside holding a sign asking for food and I didn't get him anything. I really regret that. Fast food is so cheap, there was no reason for me to not pick him up something. I just kept thinking about this interview I watched with a homeless person saying that people look right through him and don't treat him as human. At the end of the day, I was scared to look this homeless person in the face give him food and treat him like a human. After the conversation with my friend I promised myself to not be scared of that anymore and to do good if the opportunity arises. Tldr: great video :)
Lin pissed me off in the playoffs last , highly respect his perception on life and his character and work ethic. He actually has been showing us the work he put in. He's been doing good second half.
Lorenzo Xiong I know, right? If it wasn't for Lin last season, Rockets would've been swept out of the first round by the much-superior Blazers. Lin kept them afloat and helped force that 6th game after balling out BIG-TIME in the 5th game at home. How quickly some of these anti-Lin folk forget their history, lol! ;-D
PeekaPeep Much superior? Stop. Without the Refs the blazers would have lost. Those crappy floppers. And I remember game 5 Lin bricked a LAYUP WE SHOULD have won that game. And I remember his crucial turnovers so shutup
Thank you for sharing. Heck, thank you for everything you do on and off the court. You are truly an inspiration and I feel blessed to be able to follow your career. I pray for your continued success.
ADAJ3 if you been too the rockets games or maybe some laker games he runs sprints in the beginning and just watch full games when he has one of his turnoves pretty fast
ADAJ3 ESPN Sports Science did a piece on his speed a few years back. Since then he's trained his body up and if you compare his muscle maturity from his first year when he couldn't squat more then 100lbs to now. He's even faster. Think I saw that segment or a similar one. Those 2 plus Rose were compared on multiple benchmarks. All 3 were pretty damn close to each other in areas such as initial takeoff speed, sustained speed, etc etc. All 3 PGs are obviously good at different things and are ranked differently (obviously), but it's hard to discount Lin's speed. Kid's fast.
Much respect for Jeremy Lin not only as a good basketball player but also as a great human being. In the new year wish you nothing but great success on the basketball court. I will definitely cheer for you when you come to play in Boston!
When I think he can not become anymore perfect, he does. He becomes an example, a role model to follow for all the famous people out there that even with fame, these unselfish kindess acts can be done.
I honestly thought this video would be about popping bottles and jokes for All-Star weekend. Much respect for showing compassion and humility by sharing with others and hearing their stories.
Yo Jeremy, I really look up to you as an athlete, scholar, and individual. Keep spreading the good vibes brother because you inspire me and everyone around you! As always, an inspirational video for everyone, from all walks of life!! Hey Jeremy, can you make a video that includes your whole family coz I'd like to see more interactions amongst your siblings. Great video w/ a great message, thanks for being yourself & I wish you the best of luck in LA!!
Jeremy Lin whoa! i recognize this area. i go to church next to there. thanks for stopping by and sharing your compassion with these people in santa monica!
Jeremy you are a kind and humble human being, it is so great to see a person like you who is Christian, thank you god for bringing u into my life and I wish god will always bless you!
Jeremy Lin been my favorite Asian basketball player since 2012 such a very humble human being and very caring polite to others and staying positive and motivated Jeremy such a inspirational and inspired me so much ❤️🔥

Agreed. Jeremy Lin has a big heart.
+Wash Boy OMG the title thing i agree
EXACTLY!
Indeed I totally agree
Lol hes not a youtuber, this isnt his job, he doesnt need views
Love how Lin still keeps making vids even though he's already "made it" and rolling in the NBA dough. Keep it real and hope you continue to have success.
He's so true to his fans and is very humble
What success? Nigga plays for the lakers.
stupidnamewaster Bruh, unless you making 14.9 million dollars in a year, you really can't say he didn't make it.
+JJ Nguyen not even, divide that by 10 and thats still a huge sum of money that most people can't make in a year or will takes years to make.
MPG ii
By far my favorite player in the NBA.. i really hope he gets his grove back because he can truly become an all star
He's had a great start back from the all star break.
id say potential superstar or elite player. he has allstar charisma though
Steven .Phu If the Lakers finally let him start full-time next season (if they DO keep him around and they better) and give him the same amount of playing time that they unwisely gave Kobe early on this season, he'll be a Top 10 PG in this league AT THE VERY LEAST. How can u not like JLin? More than a basketballer... such a legend.
I love how he keeps saying going to go eat with some " friends" rather than just saying homeless people.
In chinese, we sometimes call homeless people 街友, which translates as friends in the street
James Lee 他不是中国人
I did a project during my undergrad years that had us spend the weekend at a homeless shelter and interact with homeless people and I must say it was quite an eye-opening experience. I think he knows. Thus, the work on TOs.
byron scott hasn't really given him a chance either.
he's been doing great these past games
edap i dont think turnovers are a huge problem not anymore anyway its how he commits them when hes in the moment.
Steven .Phu Oh, TO have always been a huge problem, and something haters love to pick at. They also speak loads of how good/bad he's feeling about that particular game. He is so humble and kind. Who would dislike a video like this
William Kraimer all these dislikes
I love the fact that Jeremy Lin is so humble and so true to his faith. May God bless you man.
Jeremy is a genuine person. He's s great guy off the court and truly believes in God and helping others. Wish him the best moving forward.
I'm proud of you Jeremy! I'm so happy that you share your faith the way you do. God Bless!

Well, he'll be a free agent soon. We'll see what happens.
edap yeah
I see the rockets signing him again except for a contract worth 5-8 mil only
FAMERGAMERtv i hope so, we need a better point guard
I think LA is good for lin maybe the team is under struggle but i love watch lin wear lakers suit
regardless of how he does on the court hes a much bigger PERSON to me and it's what he's doing for the community.
not only does he have no airs whatsoever about him, he genuinely cares about making a positive impact in small ways. he challenges everything i always assumed about nba players.
Jeremy you never fail to impress me. Love the kind heartedness of you. Keep it up.

I was doing a nostalgic Jeremy Lin tour and was looking at many of his videos. This is video remains among my favorites. He truly cares about those who are at disadvantage.
Love the way he ends with a lil word for the wise from the bible. Love these videos man!
I totally agree
It just proves he's not a fake Christian
they called bible verses.
+Nathan Barry it drives me crazy how some people are fake Christians. My dad, step uncle, are both fake and my sister was a Christian but is now an atheist and I literally cried when she said she hated religion.

The part which you help the homeless touches me.
Kindness comes from the heart, keep doing what you do, you're a great person. I volunteer with United Way, maybe I'll bump into you one of these days.
it's April 2016 as of this comment, I hope those people in the video are better off today that they were before...

Jeremy Lin is really inspiring off the court and on the court. He doesn't take anything for granted.
Everyone's contribution makes the world a bit better!
You make the best, the most meaningful youtube videos. God bless you Jeremy. Huge respect!
Jeremy you are an inspiration to all of us. plz keep it up
I hope you have a good second half of the season Jeremy! Your one of my favorite players and I hope you get a good contract! GO JEREMY LIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a legend my man. Keep doing what you're doing. All the very best!
helping out the homeless..... Jlin you are one awesome man with such a kind heart!! such a blessing to the community
Genuine and humble.
Druggies vs homeless. There is a difference.
A lot of people can't tell.
Uhh, if they ask for drugs instead of food. Or money for drugs instead of food. And not accept food stamps or food that you offer. Yes you can. XD.
Lucas Wenberg A lot of people DON'T BOTHER. That was the whole point of the video. They judge, then move on.
edap You don't get the point of my comment. A lot of people don't "BOTHER." Because they always think they are druggies. Maybe if they could change the way they act, they would know the difference. Tldr: great video :)
This is the best one yet. I keep replaying it. As Jeremy grows, we grow with him.
Thanks for the message, JLin.
Such a good dude man. Respect
We need more people like Jermy
You have such a beautiful soul. God bless. The world needs more Jeremy Lins 😍💕
Lin pissed me off in the playoffs last , highly respect his perception on life and his character and work ethic. He actually has been showing us the work he put in. He's been doing good second half.
but he won 2 PO games for the Rockets too... in one of those he was the player of the game.
Lorenzo Xiong I know, right? If it wasn't for Lin last season, Rockets would've been swept out of the first round by the much-superior Blazers. That was a great thing Jeremy Lin did for those homeless people. One of my favorite players, God Bless You JLin.
2:33 to 3:58 pretty heart wrenching and inspiring st the same time.
Jeremy Lin is a good guy , and that food looks good af
He is not just "Linsanity" he is also "Nicesanity"
Love what your doing for others Jeremy!!! keep doing what your doing!!
Great character and this shows Jeremy is a great person. Giving back to people who needs it, it's priceless.
Recently J lin has been doing amazing! Earlier he was having trouble but recently hes been tearing it up!
Thank you for sharing. Heck, thank you for everything you do on and off the court. You are truly an inspiration and I feel blessed to be able to follow your career. I pray for your continued success.
Heya JL not a big BB fan but dude huge respect for the person you are and that you are also a great athellite.
Jeremy lin has one of the fastest acceleration in the NBA.
You have any proof? I know he's pretty quick.
ADAJ3 if you been too the rockets games or maybe some laker games he runs sprints in the beginning and just watch full games when he has one of his turnoves pretty fast
ADAJ3 sport science did a episode on Jeremy. He's acceleration is faster than John Wall
ADAJ3
ESPN Sports Science did a piece on his speed a few years back. Since then he's trained his body up and if you compare his muscle maturity from his first year when he couldn't squat more then 100lbs to now. He's even faster. He just doesn't operate at 100miles per hour now all the time, he's learned to vary his gears up.
Kid's fast.
Great stuff man! Always cool to set great examples for others
Wow you are so inspiring Jeremy and this is why it make you a good role model as an athlete and a human being. Keep up the great work
Much respect for Jeremy Lin not only as a good basketball player but also as a great human being. In the new year wish you nothing but great success on the basketball court. I will definitely cheer for you when you come to play in Boston!
You have the biggest heart, man. This is why I have soooo much respect for you! I just love your personality!
When I think he can not become anymore perfect, he does. He becomes an example, a role model to follow for all the famous people out there that even with fame, these unselfish kindess acts can be done.
Lin's a good guy I hope success keeps finding you and im happy to see your Hornets doing well shows hard work paying off!
Great video jeremy. Hope you can upload another video on your road trips with the purple and gold.
is this a dream??!?!?!?!!? HE FINALLY UPLOADED!!!! My year has been made !
Life is complete
He is so kind.
I don't know why a lot of people hate him.
Thanks @Jlin7, your compassion is an inspiration to us all! I'm thankful God's used your gifts and talents to bless the poor and homeless.
I honestly thought this video would be about popping bottles and jokes for All-Star weekend. Much respect for showing compassion and humility by sharing with others and hearing their stories.
big improvement lin, great progress. Proud of you.
Yo Jeremy, I really look up to you as an athlete, scholar, and individual. Keep spreading the good vibes brother because you inspire me and everyone around you! Its this aperture that we must look through when trying to realize that although we all may come from different walks of life that doesn't necessarily mean we're not emotionally all connected.
Love this video! Very inspirational and motivating! Gonna work hard to be like you one day Jeremy
As always, an inspirational video for everyone, from all walks of life!! Hey Jeremy, can you make a video that includes your whole family coz I'd like to see more interactions amongst your siblings. Great video w/ a great message, thanks for being yourself & I wish you the best of luck in LA!!
