- My gear is still pretty damn low, anyways here is my strategy pretty much.
Catch skill, Thunder pound dp/eva debuff, Wave orb with a bleed addon to put them out of the fight, silent step and dash out.
Twisted Collision into Sea Burial is also a very strong follow up skill after a catch, or used as a CC itself.. but..
If you grab isn't up, wave orb isn't up you really can't do much except to thunder pound and hope you don't die, or crouching tiger back step so you can refresh cooldown on your wave orb or grab! - เกม

supposedly bound is super short duration knockdown (commonly cored skills in awakening classes like archer shift lmb)
downsmash extends CC when someone is already downed
knockdown is the longest CC in the game (hence everyone runs kd and bound resist)

wait what is that extra high leg kick after sicssor kick? the animation looks like the awakening gushing waters, or last part of sweeping kick except its super armor, 10:12 (edit; ah its prime tornado kick that i didnt have it maxed rip)
I wouldn't use it in PvP, it's a PvE martial shard though lol
How do you enable those control duration(stun, immune etc.) above enemies?
It was added a year ago I think, just gotta dig through settings xD

I would keep at it, because not having a CC with sea burial sucks. At that point you're just moving forward for nothing lol

If you're not 700 gearscore full eva monster, then Mystic sucks.
The rest is just straight up AoS or playing T1 NW where you're kind of ass.
I would recommend Striker instead, literally gets 10x the attention/buffs/reworks than Mystic does! And he grinds better.

I used hybrid, was too lazy to switch between pve/pvp.
atk spd/crit on sea burial, pvp damage/bleed wave orb, thunder pound eva/-dp (people say put hidden claw as your -dp but i think it's a shit skill in both pve and pvp), F and hurricane kick F pve dmg/dp, crit dmg/back atk dmg, for my last I run roaring tiger +hp because I was evasion AND low DP at fogans, really helped my sustain.

I think you mean downsmash. Bound is a pretty crappy cc. If you need info on that stuff, there was a nice old guide written by crit in most class discords. It explains all the cc's. I think a couple people made some vids on it too.
I've seen most players run bound on core skills too. It's pretty cracked if you land a bound and perma CC chain someone. Downsmash is just extra damage and why people say it's AP meta right now (so everyone runs special attack evasion just for that purpose)
@@nhifuu No, all this no, "bound" is a normal CC type that counts as a 1.0 for the cc limit and lasts the least amount of time of the "grounded states" (knockdown, bound), downsmash is a special type of CC that can only be applied to something already in a "grounded state" and it REAPPLIES the "bound" cc again at a 30% chance. "Down Attack" is what you are referring to with extra damage, it does 120% extra damage to targets in a "grounded state" in pvp.

Was messing around with it today in BA to see if you guys were right.. still not 100% sure. Didn't work on dummies.
Draqona doesn't mention anything about it either (soul basher does downsmash) and even he recommends just free styling + he uses one bleed addon too.
So you guys could be right sure, but does downsmash help mystic? probably niche in super long 1v1's IF it doesn't get resisted anyways (standing still + SA is still death or get insta grabbed)
I still don't think about downsmash as a mystic, even the two new awakening skills have them and they both lock you in place (awakening is supposed to be better in group than succ "originally")
I sware this guy seems to he discovering this class as we watch, no real patter or attack stream showed all over the place with his attacks and movements
