Krypto the superdog has been around since the 50s in the comics. This will be his movie debut. He has the same powers as Superman. Laser eyes, flight, ice breath, super strenght, speed and even has better sight and hearing than Superman since hes a dog. Gonna be fun to see.
Supergirl has a pet cat called Streaky and a horse called Comet. Both can fly. Among other things. There has been a new Supergirl movie announced. And Comet does figure in the particular comic it's going to be based on. So can but hope.
They brought Krypto back into the comics in the 2000s: Kal El ended up in a pocket universe like the old-school comics version of Krypton, meant to trap him. He escaped with Krypto, who was WAY overpowered (there was an even where Supes had to train with one of his enemies for months to prepare for an invasion by these alien probes, after he almost lost to one of them, and when they finally struck the planet one of the scenes it showed was Krypto taking down multiple ones at the Fortress of Solitude).
If you want to know what Superman is about better start with *Superman (1978), Superman 2 (1980), and Superman Returns (2006).* But if you want to see a good display of how strong Superman is *Man of Steel (2013)* perfectly shows that.
@JaeMinJung. Thats the biggest complaint I've seen about the teaser from Snyder fanboys, that its lame that he's hurt in the first shot because it makes him look weak. But if they think Superman is Superman because of his powers, they don't know the character at all. His strength comes from hope, and family, and love. The belief that every life is precious, and no matter how beaten, physically or mentally, he'll always get back up even to save just one life. _Thats_ Superman. And he'd do it regardless of his powers. I guess if you've only seen the Snyder version, though, you'd think the powers are what make the character.
@@bloodyneptune nope you've massively guessed wrong, I've been exposed to the Christopher Reeve Superman by my mom when I was 4-5 years old, I know what makes the character and what he's about and what he stands for which is why I also recommend the '78 and '80 movies because to me that's who Superman is supposed to be, I actually prefer that version.
they actually made an animated film featuring Krypto the Superdog as the main character too. It features Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart as voices for some of the characters. You should check it out if you're into animated films. The previous superman movies are worth watching. Yeah, they've had some hits and misses in the past depending on your taste in movies. But most Superman fans agree that the first two films with Christopher Reeves are the gold standard for the superhero genre. Fun fact, Kevin Feige, the guy who runs Marvel Studios, once said that he usually makes all his filmmakers watch the first Superman movie with Christopher Reeves before starting on a new superhero film just to gain context how a hero should be.
If you wanna get into Superman, at least learn the basic lore of who he is and what he represents (symbol of hope and heroism) i suggest starting with these 4 projects from every medium: •Live Action Movie: Superman (1978) •Animated Movie: Superman vs. The Elite (2012) •Comics: Superman Smashes the Klan (2019) •Cartoon: Superman the Animated Series (1992) These will give you the main idea of who Superman really is amd prolly turn you into a big fan of the Big Blue Boy-Scout.
If your interested in learning more about superman I mean id recommend the Christopher reeve films.. BUT here are other content that may b eof interest. 1. Superman vs the elite: a movie 2. Matt Draper's youtube videos that specifically look at superman's greatest stories. 3. Steve shire's youtube superman retrospective videos 4. any episodes of superman the animated series 5. Superman vs. goku from the online deathbattle series.
Since you don't sound like a comic book person. I don't know if you followed the drama over at the MCU, but James Gunn was briefly kicked out of Marvel between the 2nd and 3rd Guardians of the Galaxy movies because he got targeted by white supremacists. I don't know how he felt about white supremacists before, but he REALLY hates them now. Every R-rated superhero thing he has done since then has featured white supremacists of various varieties suffering violent deaths, and it is glorious. I mention this because the superhero genre was created in what we now call the Golden Age of comics by artists and writers who were mostly the sons of immigrants, most of whom were Jewish and struggling to deal with what was going on in Germany in the 1930s. This means that James Gunn is in a similar head space to the people who created comic book superheroes. James Gunn is now in charge of all the DC movies, and I expect things are going to get very interesting. The redhead with the bowl cut is Guy Gardner, the most annoying of all the Green Lantern heroes. All the other human Green Lanterns hate his guts. He is arrogant and fame-obsessed. Imagine a male Paris Hilton, but even more self-centered. The Black guy with the force field has no superpowers but is far smarter than Batman. He has something like 14 PhDs and a knack for learning new academic disciplines very quickly. Among human heroes, his tech is second to none. His superhero name is Mister Terrific.
not as big of a fan of young justice, but when guy gardner came up as a potential member- all of the green lantern members kept saying "NO." it legit was funny.
As soon as get these other uploads up you will know soon lol…. but I love stranger things, crime shows, zombie movies, apocalypse movies. I’m trying to find new movies to watch like action movies so I’ll be doing that mostly. ❤️
Go watch the original superman before watching this in movies. It will give you an idea of what everthing is about in this one. I made my 17 year old last night watch the original superman with me. he liked it.
Definitely react/binge all the (DCEU) movies in order starting with Man Of Steel(2013) this new superman is a reboot but before the new superman movie (2025) you have to watch (Dc Studios Creature Commandos) I also recommend for dc comics movies: The Dark Knight Trilogy Watchmen (2009) The Batman (2021) Also watch the dc animated movie universe starting with Justice League the flashpoint paradox (2013)

Live action movie debut, as he in League of Super Pets in animated form.
In Superman Lore, Krypto been around for decades!
Wow ! Never knew that until know ! 😮

By the way guys, the reason why my face has a little yellow bruise and is a little chubby is because I just had wisdom teeth surgery.
Get better!
Treat yourself to a milkshake or something
Ouch .. wisdom tooth surgery is no joke . hope your recovery is going ok 😇
Why isnt this video titled,
"This PRETTY girl never watched Superman"
Haha thanks 😊
They are making a great Superman box set with comics that will give you great insight for the inspiration for the movie.

Man of Steel is not good adaptation of the character
@Hyp333R I agree, what I was trying to imply was just his strength in that movie nothing more.
