There also two other versions of Colin McRae Rally 1.
The American version (on ps1 ntsc or pc) , which replaced Colin McRae's 1997-1998 Subaru Impreza WRC with the Subaru Impreza WRC 1999 and 2000 (car with stripes and stars) of Juha Kankkunen and Richard Burns.
The American version also renamed all other real WRC drivers to fictional ones, as in the sequels.
The American PS1 ntsc and pc version also lacks the Renault Megane Maxi.
In 2003-2004 there was also a re-release exclusive of Colin McRae Rally on the ps1 in a 'Codemasters Bestsellers Edition' , which replaced again Colin McRae's Subaru Impreza WRC with the road car inspired Subaru Impreza 22B (complete blue without decals and sponsors).
This bestsellers version still has the original WRC drivers.
All re-released CMR versions since the value series version renamed Rallye Monte Carlo in Rallye Austria.
The ps1 platinum still has Rallye Monte Carlo as name.
On the PC version the patches since version 1.2 changed the name of Rallye Monte Carlo.
The PC and ps1 version also differents on graphic quality.
Biggest change is the look of the cockpits of the cars and the drivers suit.
On the PC version the drivers suit is sponsored by OMP.
    On ps1 version it's generic.
Also the Subaru driver on pc version has red driver gloves, while on ps1 version it's blue-yellow like the car itself.
Toyota Corolla Driver for example also has in pc version black driver gloves, ps1 version green.
One other things that's to the second game related, all re-releases of CMR 2.0 (PS1 Platinum and PC re-releases such as bestsellers edition, budget version) replaced Colin McRae's Iconic Subaru Impreza WRC from (1997-1998) with the car from Toshi Arai with Spike livery from 2000.
This car was also seen later in Colin McRae Rally 3 as bonus car.
    Yeah, its many information.
But this comes from playing the first two CMR games since over 20 years, and I still love the two original Colin McRae Rallye games.
For me the best rallye games of all time.
I still have all these original copys of CMR 1 and 2.
These games were a big part of my childhood.
DIRT Rally 2.0 is also good.
Especially cause of the Colin McRae Content. 😊👍

I'm so curious now. If you fall off that sky high track during the race, does it reset you to the track or do you just fall forever?

The millenium rallye vehicle is dope!! I love the extra tracks too. The cheats on PSX are the same as PC, I think?

The codes to activate the cheats on PS1 are different but the actual effects of the cheats are the same.
The secret tracks, the Celica & the Millennium Rallye are PC-exclusive.
