He was telling you something along the lines of "Three different cubera came up from the bottom and you guys are popping little by little but they just didn't get hooked so the cubera stays there today.".. so pretty much exactly what you thought he was saying, only nicer lmao. I'm only half cuban and far from fluent so I caught about 50% of it
Those snapper you guys thought were vermilion snapper are actually called pargo Seda in spanish (i forgot the name in English) Also with roosters, once you raise one you want to start popping it super fast also reeling as fast as you can with some pops as you’re reeling. The faster the better. Also with cuberas the slower the better but not too slow. Idk if you’re back from Panama or not but I hope this helps:)

Aweosme trip and vid. If y’all really want a super fun challenge you should check out Los Buzos Resort! Same fishing you did but in kayaks offshore. It was one of the best trips of my life 🤘🏼
Also the best poppers I’ve used for roosters are the bigger 3D yozuri poppers and their new mag poppers because you can rip em fast and they also make a good pop and splash when you work them to do so.
@@LandsharkOutdoors oh, yeah they are hard to use in choppy seas for sure but when it’s calm it’s hard to beat them when it comes to roosters. I’ve had cuberas hit them but I’d rather use a nomad for cuberas
I'm use to seeing Scott Rhodes usually making vids with Lawson Lindsey so it's cool to see they actually all hang out I'm ready to see a Collab with Vic and Lawson and Scott too but I'm pretty sure Vic and Lawson live in the same area anyway awesome stuff bro

My friends in Nicaragua run a charter boat for a guy that has a landing boat, wheels come down and it can drive right up onto the beach to pick ppl up and then run them to the boat. It is fun to log roll the panga into the water, and then park the thing too. First time I was on a panga that careened into the beach was pretty crazy😂

We met him when were traveling in Pedasi and the place was beautiful! Would go there again if traveling there. Have to look up the name! Not a problem either way for me as I speak Spanish.

I used to live in Santa Clara and then Playa Blanca, Panama. Loved being able to fish there- thank you for taking me back!!
