I got my autographed Griffey baseball in 1992 for $50. You're right, Griffey was my idol and is my favorite athlete of all time...but I wouldn't be caught dead paying $450 for ANYONE'S autograph on a baseball.
I’m lucky to have received his autograph free at Redsfest in the early 2000’s….The reds had stacks of OLMB’s waiting and he signed each one and handed it to to the fans in line when it was their turn…it was a great experience!
PSM, i fully agree, the logistics to get items signed and back to customers, and instructions for each item (type of pen, color of pen, location of sig, and on and on) is no easy task. "door step to door step" so, yes, thank you for your insights on these topics over the years... (your vids) and if I can add... everyone thinks it is easy, as they don't do it. (arm chair QB)
Controversial opinion to some, but I'll 'throw' this one out there: How much more money can these players - who owe their living to the fans - squeeze from the fans? They bleed the fans dry in their playing days, and as a thank you, are now bleeding them dry in their retirement? The obvious retort is 'the public don't 'have to' pay it'... which is also true.
Technically they’ve already held up their end of the deal. Fan pays for entertainment, fan receives entertainment, contract is over. In the case of football players and any sport where you get injured, you could argue the athlete got the worse end of the contract. They now have to live with permanent injuries/pain after the entertainment is over. Only get 1 body.
When it comes to sports, you need to know about items. The cost of these of items are very expensive. For example: sports items can be white (sports framed/picture), black (signature/autograph), mexican (trading cards), and asian (highlight tapes). Also remember be careful when making claims on these items! reply
The fact that people think these IP Autos will hold resale value is the real sham … Griffey is def a Hood Favorite but Its not worth it, maybe to rich middle class men with money to blow but not to us

So if I have 2 standard KGJ late 80's rookie cards and pay the 700$ to have them signed , how much could I profit if I sell them ? 🤔
Would he pay $450?
Great insights. I might have to grab an auto.
I’d really like your thoughts on the Brady signing debacle.
Pay to do the real thing 😁

One thing I learned about this video is that baseball is way overpriced
