Thank you. I'm exploring for a future move to Mexico. I think I want to be near Matzatlin. Planning next month flight. Wish I had a contact on Pacific side of Mexico. 🌷
We really loved the Pacific side of Mexico. We loved Puerto Vallarta and plan to return in the future. Hopefully we will get a chance to visit Mazatlan on our next visit. Safe travels and thanks for watching
Wow! That is a good deal. Merida is inexpensive compared to the great quality of life. I will continue to research online tools to use so that I can share more resources. That will give people more options besides just Numbeo. Thanks for watching.
Take a recon trip before you move. My wife and I did just that and found Merida to be very trashy. No other way to put it. Safe, but trashy. Querétaro, on the other hand, was gorgeous.
Yes, you are so right about doing a recon trip before you move. We have met expats and listen to youtube videos from other expats that didn't visit a city before they moved. I agree that Queretaro is clean and beautiful. It is one of our favorite cities in Mexico.
I didn't have a problem with Merida in terms of being 'trashy. Though I only spent about a week there. I did realize the summer heat in the Yucatan is WAY too hot for me. LOL I've ruled out a bunch of places in the region now that I know I don't want that climate. Much preferred the temps in the central region like CDMX. Planning to spend more time there.
LOL! It is too hot for me too. That is why we started looking at Queretaro and CDMX. We visited Queretaro after our visit to Merida. I absolutely LOVE Queretaro. It's beautiful and the weather is amazing!
Been here for one full month now and you must be crazy. “Trashy”, not even close. It’s so clean every where you go. Please go visit Merida and make your own opinion about it instead of taking someone’s advice. Or whatever city interests you for that matter. To each their own. Just travel and travel to find your own spot.
You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts! Mexico is NOT in, nor has it ever been part of the nation known universally as "America." Portions of what is now known as the southwest United States was previously known as part of Mexico, until Mexico surrendered to the United States government. Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (1848) General Records of the United States Government, Record Group 11; National Archives Building, Washington, DC. This is the exchange copy of the treaty, written in both Spanish and English. This copy, given to the United States by Mexico, provides proof that the treaty was ratified by the Mexican government: "This treaty, signed on February 2, 1848, ended the war between the United States and Mexico. By its terms, Mexico ceded 55 percent of its territory, including the present-day states California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, most of Arizona and Colorado, and parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming. Mexico also relinquished all claims to Texas, and recognized the Rio Grande as the southern boundary with the United States." www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/treaty-of-guadalupe-hidalgo

So it is getting more expensive to live there. I will continue to look for more websites that provide information that is useful for planning purposes. Thanks for watching.
Lol! We haven't dealt with the mosquitoes yet. It was okay when we were there especially after getting eaten alive in the Dominican Republic :) The heat there is no joke but it is a beautiful city. Thanks for watching.
You got that PBS voice. Love your channel
Lol! Thanks so much. We appreciate your support :)
Very informative....thank you.
You are welcome. I will try to include information that will be useful to others. Thanks for your comment :)

Oh heck. I guess I'm not relocating to Mexico. Thanks for sharing. 😢
Hey knowledge is power :) There are so many choices in the world
numbeo isn't the best, I've known several people who moved to Merida who got two bedroom homes for around $400

@@fdm2155 agreed. 105 degrees, insane. Not to mentions very high utilities in the summer.

Im looking for places to live in Mexico after this election
Lol! Mexico is a wonderful country and there are many expats who love it.
Mexico is also America...
YES, it is.
Yes, you are right. Mexico is also American and we are all so blessed to live in a beautiful area of the world. Thanks for watching.

Only problem is that place is hot as hell.
lol! It is very hot so I totally agree. Thanks for watching.
AMEN! HUGE Electric bills.
@@acajudi100 It is definitely hot so I am sure the electric bills can be expensive
Definitely not cheap here. You can’t go by that website. My rent is $1500 USD/month. Groceries and eating out is high too.

You must be like a queen. Only thing wr with Mérida is biting mosquitoes, the heat and to many know it all foreign people.
