Hey Carl. Been playing around with this strategy (among others). Markets at the moment are a bit of a nightmare for swing trading. I trade crypto; interestingly, my charts never looked as smooth as yours - I tried the 3 min and 5 min. Silly me, I didn't appreciate the difference a tick chart makes. The nearest option in crypto is range bar candles, which I'd never explored up until yesterday. The difference is that dramatic I'm suspicious - Signals on Ichimoku suddenly look a whole lot smoother and reliable. it's been a huge eye opener observing the markets independent of time, so thank you for your part in pointing me in that direction. Lot of back testing to do first.
I am looking forward to Part 2. I use Ichimoku for analysis on daily and weekly time frame charts and never thought of using it on intraday charts. Thanks for planting the idea and sharing your knowledge.

Hello sir, Great content, I have a question. What do we do as a scalper when the 5 minute and 15 minute cloud let's say is bearish but the 3 minute has flipped to bullish. Do we need to wait for a higher timeframe such as the 15 minute to flip before taking longs?

Thanks for a great video. Just starting to really get into the ichimoku. Question - Do you ever mark up your charts with support/resistance lines the "traditional" way or do you get that from seeing the flat parts of the ichimoku components. I really like the idea that ichimoku is "one glance" .

I already said in the video I use a 2000 tick chart and a 2 minute time frame when trading futures but the strategy works on any time frame. I trade forex on the daily time frame and I use the same strategy. I have tested it on a 5 minute time frame and another member uses a 15 minute time frame all with success.

Yes, you are very right about that! We already use W%R with our trading of the Cloud. We have an indicator that is mixed with the W%R and we trade that with the candle color of the indicator. Very high success rate with that. Try W%R set at 5 periods. I'm sure on my channel I explained that strategy but for sure it's on our website a bunch. Thanks for watching!

As the person who brought cloud charts to the western world over 25 years ago and the one who taught it to more institutional traders and portfolio managers than anyone else in the world I can tell you that much of this video is just this person's view on how to use the indicator, but not classic Ichimoku strategy. Furthermore, because there is no definitive source available to the public on the proper use of this model (and I have turned down three different publishers book offers to write that guide), ALL resources out there available on the web or as a book/primer is based upon faulty information of a magazine article attempt to translate the model into English that was done in 2000.(I declined to write the article so someone with no Street experience tried to find out what they could about it, but ended up giving a slew of bad info that all other subsequent "experts" base their views on). Using a TS/KS crossover with cloud confirmation is an effective way to day trade using Ichimoku. What keeps It so simple is also using the KS to help limit risk as a stop. Well done.
