How come Mephisto does not Spawn Minions? When I did IT a while back I had to spam terror and teleport the team over and over again because of mephs minions
I wish I knew how the mechanics work. I’ve found the best method is to engage Mephisto quickly and don’t move. Then he tends to not spawn minions. There’s some randomness to it.
@@Hungry1701 I have done a lot of runs with a smiter lately in hc and you are right on that. I go to the same exact spot but once he finally travels to me (meph) There is a boatload of skellies. Sometime he backs off. Gets stuck in His skellies. Is unreachable. Diablo sometimes Spawn instead of Baal... Ubers don't always follow the script! Worst thing is the load Time when you enter the red portal. Just realized I cant Do ubers with a necro in d2r. I have 25 seconds load Time. The red portal is gonna be Jammed with ubers if I try that 😕

I have not. Check out SelimOnengut's channel. He uses Iron Golem in PTR 2.4 Ubers. It's more about getting Concentration from Pride which one can do already. He might make a future video detailing the Thorns update.
1. Do not telestomp Meph. Let your summons surround him, that should protect your merc. 2. Keep your fingers ready with Full Rejuvs. 3. Try Treachery on your merc and proc Fade before engaging Mephisto. 4. If his minions are distracting you, separate Meph and his minions. See what I did for Baal and Diablo as an example.
You're correct, Ubers are way easier without their minions. That's part of the strategy when one is lacking good gear. Mephisto, I engage and kill him quickly before his minions spawn. Baal and Diablo spawned plenty of minions. I drew Baal away from his minions. For Diablo, I drew his minions away then teleported to Diablo. That way I could engage Baal and Diablo without much fuss. As with everything D2, there's randomness to this and each run will be different.

i tried offline and created a budget gears. identical merc gears but i cant pass mephi like you, he just keep dying. any tips?
