Thank you, Christine. Useful tips as always. It is possible to change your measurement from centimetres to inches in Word should you wish to do so.
Go to File ( 1st tab on top), select options ( at the very bottom of the options on the left), select Advanced ( 7th option on left), scroll down using the slider on the right until you see the display options . Look for ‘show measurements in units of and choose inches from the drop down box.
Hope this helps anyone who prefers working in inches, as I do 😊
I know you can do this but as I don’t often need to use imperial measurements it’s easier to simply do as I did in the video!
@Chrissieannie funny I'm in Australia, many, many moons ago we used inches at school, then it changed to kilos, centimetres etc. and our measurements have been centimetres for many years but for cardmaking I tend to prefer inches, I suppose I really need to start using centimetres 🤣

While I've been making interior sentiment pages like this for years, it never dawned on me to make the text box the full width of the page to help center my text. Fantastic help!

Fantastic video (as usual) and just when I needed it! I'd been playing around with how to get my own sentiment onto a correctly sized, and placed, inner - unsuccessfully.
When I got to the part where you entered the first line of text I just copy & pasted the lines I had been playing around with into the box and cleaned up the spacing a bit, so didn't have to do it line by line the way you did. So easy!
However, your method is the way to go if you don't like the Word spacing options to just copy and paste as I did.
I'll be using this method to print on the front of my cards too, I think!

Thanks for this Chrissie. I do make inners with printed words on but my way is rather Heath Robinson and this makes a much better job of it. I think my version of Word will be dfferent to yours but will give it a go as it does look better, particularly getting the lines closer together which does greatly improve the look of it. x
I think that using separate text boxes gives so much more freedom for positoning the lines of text!

This is just as I do it, other than using a very thin double-sided tape to adhere it once finished. (I'm not as precise with drawing a straight bead of glue as I am in applying tape.) Many thanks! 🩷

Thank you Christine……….. I love these tech tips……. You explain everything in a way that is so easy to understand. You are indeed a wonderful teacher, it’s no surprise that this was your profession. I’ve joined Creative Fabrica and am downloading several fonts but can you recommend any of your go to fonts, when typing inserts. I love the way you mix them up. 🦋xxx As an afterthought, I put the glue the other side of the crease so that when you open the card the insert opens at the same time.

I do print my own inserts and often just do a panel on the right side, adhered only at the top. However, you explained everything beautifully and your method is better than mine tfs

Thank you, Christine. Maybe I missed it, but why wouldn’t you just press enter at the end of the first line to get to the line below it?
Have you seen Edwardian script?a. It’s the font I use for my name in my email signature. 😊
If you press return for a second line means you have limited lines spacings that you can choose. Using text boxes means you can have the lines as close or distanced as you want, even overlapping if you want that effect.
I have literally hundreds of fonts, I love trying to find the perfect font, in style and weight for whatever images I may be using.

Thanks for this. Can I ask why you put a second rectangle, do the 2 lines go closer together if you it that way? It looked good. The card is gorgeous.
I if you use a different text box for each line of your sentiment or message you can place them wherever you want. If you use the same text box the distance between the lines is more difficult to effect!

One question, instead of doing another box for the 2nd line, could you have just typed the line in the same box under the first, would the box size adjusted automatically, or wouldn't that work?
If you use separate boxes you can get the lines exactly where you want them…if you just press return, the next line will be where the computer wants it not where you want it. You can have the exact positioning you want by doing each line in a separate box .

Hello Christine, thank you for your videos. I use a different method to you whereby I create a table, adjust the table col n row properties, type in my text, then print directly onto the card or print as an insert. You can also add yr method, the part when you do the font. If you haven't tried this method I will gladly email you my templates for top card & card inserts, A5 & A6 and you welcome to share them as well.
That’s really kind, but I’m really happy to continue using my text boxes, as I can adjust the position of where specific words are placed with considerable precision. I’m not as proficient with using tables!😕

In order to make 2-3 lines of text, couldn’t you make the initial text box larger?
You can’t regulate the distance between the lines very easily that way!
Don't laugh at me, but how do you know which way to put the paper in the printer?
You put the paper in the printer the same way as you always you, it just prints it sideways!🤣🤣🤣
