The best use for discovery is if you are looking for a rare affix, use it on an empty item that could roll that rare afix then just try and use removal to get that shard
I'm confused on how you got minions teleport onto your unique boots.When I try with my LP last steps, the eternity cache says the experimental boots have to be exalted. Do I have to manually craft an exalted into experimental like you showed, THEN stick those in the LP boots?
Exiled Mage can drop exalted item with experimental affix or you can make it yourself like it was shown in the video. I don't think there are any other ways.
The amulet you think is great and made us jelly is actually quite bad. You got minion health instead of critical multiplier, which is MUCH better for your build. Minion health should be taken on belt, because there are no other useful prefixes. And base item is trash.
Just a note, Rune of Removal removes a RANDOM affix from the item. You cannot remove an affix of your choice using this rune unless you get lucky with your roll.
Videos like this are so great. I definitely understood what all glyphs and crafting options did before, but I always struggle to find the most optimal way to craft on stuff. (Even more important here than in PoE, given the limited FP). I literally went "aaah, that makes sense" 5x while you made that Minion/Health amulet.

A couple reasons: Individual stats scale higher than elemental stats and also enemies in LE are heavily restricted to their damage type by the timeline you’re in. So enemies might do void damage and physical in one. In another area enemies might do fire and physical damage. You’re never really going to have to worry about dealing with a bunch of different types of elements at once. So pair that will the fact that individual skills scale higher at tier 5, you’re just getting more bang for your buck.
Wow, I watched quite a few crafting tutorials, and never ever have I seen (or even got to the conclusion myself) that you can combine a Rune of Removal with a Glyph of Hope. I feel dumb now. Thank you for the video Raiz! Super informative

When fully cleaning out an item with removals why not smack on a rune of discovery? I mean rolling 4 good affixes on dogtier is going to be just as useful as rolling all bad affixes because you're not wearing it anyway. So I'd take the slight chance to roll an actually good item with discovery/chaos over a 100% chance to roll a mid item at best.

To be honest the Crafting system in LE is purely garbage. Forging potential on an item is very stupid idea. If you ever find the perfect affixes on an item after spending 100+ hours, the game will fck you up with stupid forging potential mechanic unless your glyph of hope saves you from quitting the game.

Crafting is the worst aspect of the game. No matter the item, it can brick with just 2-3 bad forges (each forge taking near maximum amount). Seen way too many potential good items turned into trash. Only real thing you can do is adjust your lootfilter & wait for an item drop which has all your desired affixes T3 or above.. only then you have a chance to max it out. And even then it has the potential to brick before you can max it out. Then there is the problem of exalted items. You want your items to be at least exalted or unique with LP to then combine those 2 into good legendary. Which makes your requirements even harder. You'll have to spend 100+ hours grinding away to get 1 good drop which you can max out. There is no way to precision craft. There is no way to use the currency I've gathered with my time to craft my desired item. Only way is just to wait for a near maxed out drop with all your desired affixes. And then you want that drop to be exalted as well.. Like I said.. Crafting is the worst aspect of the game. There is no way a regular Andy is going to spend 100+ hours for 1 maxed item. Once the game introduces season it gets even worse. 1 season is not going to be enough time to max 1 characters gear for a regular Andy. CRAFTING is a JOKE in Last Epoch.

BUT, once you understand it & have kept track with the changes, it allows for A LOT. By campaign you mean the hardest end game Uber bosses? True, those are no joke. They will dictate if your build is bad or not.
Crafting perfect affix items shouldn't be easy. If the point of the game is to continually improve the character to do harder content, crafting the best items in the game shouldn't be trivial.

I would consider that an improvement. Currently it's way too heavily reliant on RNGesus to gift us with a decent drop imo. Those are the drawbacks of deterministic crafting. There has to be some sort of tax or rollability. This is also the launch version of crafting. It will be tuned and updated many times, I'd imagine. To brick means you hit something you didn't want to therefore item became useless and can't even be saved by further crafting

Have you tried PoE's crafting? 'Regular Andy' can't even finish the main campaign in that game.
