The 3200-hectare property of the Biltmore Estate suffered less damage from flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Helene than other areas of Asheville, North Carolina and the southeastern U.S.
Remnants are the small remaining parts of something once bigger or more powerful.
Remnants is similar to leftovers, such as small pieces cut from fabric used to make something larger.
