It was a tough choice, but I’ve ordered io6 and comparing to Philips sonic are 3 it’s a great toothbrush that cleans way better. Philips sonicare 3 is like a toy compare to io.
Great vid thanks. Pro brush heads are already expensive for what there are, IO brush heads look like a complete rip off.
If I could have your piece of mind on a toothbrush for myself as my family all use oral from the 3000 series which are all loud and I want one that fit fits that head style but is also very quiet and rechargeable. It needs to be quiet mainly though but no need to be oral b. I buy off brand heads
Prime sale. Pro 3 3500 = £40, io3 = £59. Do you still recommend the Pro 3?
Sorry for the delay. As a general rule yes, because the ongoing costs of brush head are half that of the iO Series. But, if you are happy to pay more then the iO3 is a great brush too.
What are the chances of Oral B discontinuing the Pro 3 series in favour of their more expensive io series? The last thing i want is to buy a toothbrush only for the heads to be unavailable in the future...
Hi, very usefull video, i'm from Peru, i want to buy the best toothbrush for the best price, you said the best option is the smart 1500, here is the Pro series 3 model, which I believe is the same as the pro 3000 model, it costs 65 USD, and the smart 1500 is 70USD now, which one should i choose, i will also order the waterpik aquarium, thank you very much for the information you provide.
Models vary from one country to another. The Pro 3 is the same as the Smart 1500 really. So probably best going for the Pro 3.

Hi, I use the oral b 3500. I have gum recession and I use the sensitive clean brush heads. Should I also be brushing with the sensitive cleaning mode or should I brush with the daily cleaning mode? I usually do the sensitive cleaning mode, but I was wondering if I should do the daily cleaning mode instead.
It's up to you. You will potentially get marginally better cleaning results with the more powerful daily clean mode. Ultimately it is up to you and what feels most comfortable.
Sensitive mode is better. I have the same problem.
Here in Portugal the price of iO3 cost 99 euros.

It's not a bad price at £45. If you are happy to pay more for the brush heads then go for it. The Pro 3 would work out cheaper over years of ownership.

It is a bit of personal opinion as one persons sensitivity & tolerance varies compared to another. With a soft bristled sensitive brush head and the slower and less intense sensitive mode on the Pro 3 you are likely to be ok.
It is an oscillating-rotating brush head. It moves back and forth in circular motions, but does not rotate the head a full 360 degrees.
In China, io 3 is only 499 CNY(69 USD)

Genius X vs Pro 3 3000?
The difference between 64 and 73 decibels is the difference between an ant fart and a bee fart, not worthy of mention in my opinion. To be honest I never even noticed the sound of the toothbrush to be honest. You know how on the box of cereal it says "Enlarged to show detail?" Well similar here because the toothbrush is not as loud as this video portrays.
Thanks for answering the question I didn't know I needed the answer too. Good to know that a bee fart is 9 decibels louder than that of an ant! 👍
Appreciate your comment, but I've gotten lots of feedback about how noisy the Pro 3 is. Sound is a real trigger for some people. Compared to a lot of other toothbrushes from the likes of Philips, Oclean and more it is.
Just to be clear I am not trying to make more of a deal out of it than it is. Just presenting my findings from having used both.

I think the sound is very important. Especially at night before going to bed, having to listen to these brushes is quite disturbing, even for the people around you.
The tests should be performed on wet toothbrushes; I find that the water + toothpaste combination makes them quieter (at least less 'harsh'), because of the lubrication of the moving parts.
