Nice but hume pulp ke weight ke hisab se daalni cahiye na cheeni? Pehle toh seed ka weight bhi ayega right??
ji bilkul prachi ji isliye hi hamne 700 gm aloo bukhare liye hai... kyonki jab him seeds nikalte hai to wo lagbhag 500 se 550 gm hi bachte hain te 550 gm ke liye hamne lagnag 350 t0 400 gm sugar use ki hai jo ki 1+ 1/2 cup ke approx hai... I hope now you know :)

@@prachibansal6670 prachi ji half quantity kam rehti hai jam to ready ho jayegi par aap use jyada time rakh nahin sakte cheeni preservative ka kam bhi karti hai isliye maine yana 550 gm ke liye 350 gm kaha tha baki aapke taste par hai or apko kitne time rakhna hai uske hisaab se aap change kar sakte ho.

Can we add jaggery instead of sugar???
Instead of white sugar use brown sugar which has natural of sugar cane byproduct known as molasses which is natural preservative and is also rich in minerals compare to white sugar , yes brown sugar is little bit pricer but it's worth it 👍😊 , and one more suggestion ,do you know , when sodium benzoite if accidently added in larger than prescribed amount in those foods which are sour in nature ,then it becomes carcinogenic which means Cancerous ,and is not good for health , instead of sodium benzoite prefer natural corn vinegar as preservative , in 500 grm i think 30 ml natural vinegar should be enough ,to balance the taste you can add little bit of extra brown sugar and little bit of iodised salt if it tastes very sour in taste ,😊👍 first give it a try , see yourself if jam remains good for 8 months by adding vinegar as preservative 👍😊 apart from vinegar ,brown sugar which has molasses also works as preservative ,twin advantage and twice assured preservation..

for up to one year in referigerator and up to 30 to 50 days on room temperature ... if properly cooked...

Sodium benzoite kab aur kaise dale
sodium benzoate bahut hi kam matra mein dalta hai 1 chutki se bhi kam or wo bhi jam jab pakkar ready ho jaye tab. par main aapko suggest karoongi ki agar aapko 3-6 mahine ke liye store karna hai to aise hi fridge mein air tight container mein store kar leinbilkul kharab nahin hoga. main bina sodium benzoate ke ise 1 saal tak bhi store kar chuki hoon wo bhi fridge mein or sugar agar jyada dalenge to bina sodium add kiye room temperature par bhi kharab nahin hoga 6 months ke liye.
Agar sodium benzoate nah ho to lemon juice dalde kya
ji main sodium benzoate use nahin karti kyonki wo chemical hai.. aap 1 tsp lemon juice ya citric acid 2 pinch use kar sakte ho waise agar sugar jyada ho to waise hi ye jam kharab nahin hota or agar aap fridge mein rakhenge to ye 6 mahine aaram se chal jata hai....
Thanks for the recipe. But after switching off the gas I saw that my jam is very sticky and when I waited for it to cool down, it got stuck in the pan and became solid. Pls guide me where I went wrong and how it can be corrected now
Sorry to hear that i think jam jyada cook ho gayee hai...aap 3-4 tbsp pani add karke cook kijiye theek ho jayega jab aap pani dal kar pakaoge cheeni melt hone par liquidy ho jayega to thoda sa patla rehnedijiyega or 1 tsp neembu ka ras bhi dal dijiye jisse cheeni jamegi bhi nahin.... and sorry for late reply dear....
