The J.None part in this is what made me first adore him, even though he is amazing in Tennessee Whiskey (the first song I listened to of VP's), this was when I first had the appreciation for his voice. I love this version. I think it’s so funny that everybody got a solo except the guy with the super high voice! I just expected Earl to start belting it out any moment and he never was featured.😂. I love everything they did in their partworks series. If you don’t react to it, you might want to check out Death of a Bachelor. I was not aware of VP at the time that they did these, but I understand that fans were asked to pick two people to sing that song. And they chose Geoff and Earl😂😂 and they covered five parts including beatboxing. It is one of my all-time faves. Speaking of all-time faves, make sure and save room for when Geoff releases his Halloween piece. It is from Nightmare before Christmas and it is my very favorite song of the movie. All of the music is outstanding. But this one always has been special and Geoff gave it so much dimension. 👻🎃💀

Ya know how biased I am over J... well his vocals on this one make my soul dance thru the sky!!! Then Eli - as you said, this song was made for him! & as you were, I was completely floored that Earl didn't just crush this song! I know 100% that he would have had us all squealing with delight!! But J & Eli did NOT disappoint!!! But the absolute STAR of this song is Layne!! The whole arrangement is 🔥! I loved watching you fall in love with this one!! See ya on the next one!! XO💜

I have a very odd relationship to this song, because while i like the lyrics and the music and all...i cannot ~stand~ Prince's falsetto, and the vast majority of this song is in it. So covers are totally my jam.
