Le drapeau ACADIEN on the Frontenac Castle ! Part of the Canadian province Québec's mosaic, aside Teo's splace :D under F*** Cars !!! The Bonhomme Carnaval, René Lévesque (who hit an homeless man while DUI while being prime minister)... and other folklore of Québec. (read : the Japan-Québec link, Godzilla, in the picture... whereas we had tons of anime in the 70s/80s/90s translated to french in québec. Le Petit Castor, Démétan, Les Aventuriers de l'espace, Le nom de la Rose (sous le signe des mousquetaires)/the musketeers, Goldorak, Astroboy, Akira in 1993 on VHS, dragon ball in 1993-94 in manga, DBZ started around 1996-97 (tome 17-19 start dragon ball Z in the manga). Sailor moon on tv in 1995 too. Appleseed mangas, 3x3 Eyes (influence of F.M. Alchemist). We had Ninja Scroll (oav), Wicked City, so much sino-japanese culture in the 70s-80s means godzilla was meant to be part of the mosaic of Québec in r/place
i was working to keep the yellow star on the acadian flag, the one that is identical to the france flag, but with a star in the blue. That is ACADIE, the acadian people were deported from the new brunswick-nova scotia-usa coastal regions centuries ago and were sent to new orleans louisianna became the cajuns (J'suis acadien, became to english ears : j'suis un CAJUN)

I loved the part where Soda was checking your area for bots, and all the names that he found looked like non-bot names. It was like he just processed that it'd be okay to take from bots, but with so many people genuinely participating, he didn't want to take away from the community.

This was such a cool and amazing thing that I am so happy I could be a part of.
I am glad that I was able to participate in this and I was so happy that we were able to get to the end, when they started to go all white I felt really sad seeing how all of our hard work being deleted but also happy at the same time as everything is ending in such a glorious way. Hope that this will come back and we will build up and defend Teos Game once more

Such a fun and wholesome experience and I feel oddly proud of Teo for ending strong on the final canvas
It reminds me of a practice done by Tibetan Buddhist monks where they will craft beautiful and intricate sand mandalas over the course of weeks. Then, at the end they will dismantle it to remind themselves and others around them of the impermanence of life and that we should enjoy what we have now. Really cool practice(:

I almost cried at the end. There were so many wholesome moments and it was incredible to see so many different communities able to live almost peacefully together. The timelapse at the end was the cherry on top. A piece of history, can't wait to come back in 5 years

Wild to think so much was happening all at the same time. I didn't even realize Teo was streaming during the white out. And I just happened to be on the other side of the board looking at the art people had made. r/place really puts the world in perspective, and that's pretty cool

Absolutely loved r/place with our community! Everyone was so nice and it was so much fun to defend our land. I had an amazing time and I think that lots of others that were always hanging around on Twitch chat will stay around on Discord bc of making friends. Love this community man! I'm happy that we were there and that we held our ground until the end.

It has been very strange to follow Teo since he had under 10k subs on youtube till today where he has gotten a large audience across multiple channels. He is truly a gift for the internet that just keeps on giving. He brings so much joy and seem to have the same mentality since the beginning. Just have fun! And let us not forget the people around him that helps making everyones day that little bit better when hearing them laugh and having fun :-)

One of my favourite alliances was between the Elden Ring and Hollow Knight subreddits, that linked the two sides of 'git gud' between the two images.

r/Place was one of the funniest thing i've ever seen.. Wars between communities, osu! being the strongest thing in the whole god damn world, the talks with like.. The nordic alliance and how DEAD SERIOUS everything was was SOO funny to me.. Loved the streams and content durring this time! Looking forwards to the next time :)
To add to the dead-seriousness of it all, a small correction:
The Nordics were a union, not an alliance! As a union, we had an alliance with other communities such as Maryland and Destiny.
