JazakAllahu Khairan Ustadh Mohamad Baajour This session has made me feel heavy in my heart and very sad, like I'm not a true believer I feel that I'm a failure, not understanding Arabic I have tried to learn Arabic for many many years, yet my memory failed me. I have problem learning my own mother tongue. My anxiety attack began, and I have to take my xanax, this is so so sad I can only remember the meanings of the duas of Prophet Muhammad SAW and other prophets, and meanings of zikir and salah Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhi from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Wa Alaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, JazakAllah Khair for your heartfelt message. I understand that you are feeling overwhelmed, but please remember that Allah knows your efforts and struggles. The fact that you are trying to learn Arabic and are committed to your deen, despite the challenges, shows your sincerity. Learning a language, especially one as rich as Arabic, takes time and persistence. Don't be disheartened by setbacks. What matters most is your intention and your continued effort. Even if you are unable to fully grasp the language, Allah rewards the effort and intention behind it. It’s also important to take care of your mental and emotional health. Don't be too hard on yourself-take things one step at a time and remember that Allah is merciful. You can still connect with the Quran and your prayers by understanding the meanings, and that’s a huge blessing in itself. You are not alone in this journey, and with patience and reliance on Allah, things will become easier, inshaAllah. Keep making dua and trust that Allah will guide you through. May Allah grant you peace, ease, and success in your efforts. Ameen.
