many people are complaining why she is deceiving the prince , but we do not care when the ml is doing the same , there are many dramas where main lead lies to fl but we do not complain , we see that he has a reason to do it , why people are angry only when a female does it ? prince is after all the son of emperor , she cant tell him that she is here to kill his father

my understanding is when the old Emperor (Crown Prince Grandfather) passed the edict for marriage was already established. it was the New Emperor (Crown Prince’s Father) that ordered the slaying of all of An Le’s family although falsely accused. and the Crown Prince begged his Father to spare her so she was sent into exile.
