I agree w/ You about the whole Rock/Pop mixed w/ country thing, and usually I'd be against all of this type of Music.., But surprisingly, I'm not. I think I'd have to Say that the band Florida Georgia Line REALLY Started It for the most part, Yes there were others before, but not like hard Pop|Rock|Rap Until their release Featuring Nelly In their #1 Hit single "Cruise", that's when Country really took off. I like 90's Country quite A bit too., but I honestly think Florida Georgia Line Is SOO Incredible.., They're Incredibly Unique, make up their own stuff, Just DIFFERENT.., I Love Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan a lot too. But not like FGL. As soon as I heard Jason Aldean's "Burning It Down", I'd said to my mom, I love Jason, but It Kind of Sounds like he's copying Florida Georgia Line w/ this song (Although I love, LOVE the song Itself aswell), and I'll be Damned, It wasn't even a Half hr. Later that I'd found out FloridaGeorgia Boys are the ones who Wrote Burning It Down.., I was like DAYUM, I know my music, hehe. I'm 25, but I know good/Real music when I hear it. I'm Unique as hell myself, and crazy picky. My favorite Top 3 consists of Gavin DeGraw, Elton John, and Florida Georgia Line, what a mix-up..,I KNOW! I love Buddy Holly a lot too. And all Kinds of 50s/60s Music. Also the 80's, which Is my favorite Yr's of Interest In Music, and they made THEE best movies. BUT, there's a Limit. This whole Auto-tune crap that can be overloaded on Artists' voice is Ridiculous, SOME of Its use Is Just Fine, gives It a good ring at Certain points.., But not like they have It going w/ most of today's Music! Esp rap, YUCK. I like Very very very few Rap songs.., I KNOW Real music when heard, Like I said! Natural artists ARE still out there, and sometimes You have to find them behind some Autotune and be Interested enough to look 'em Up and see that You were Right, there's that REAL Talent In their other works/Songs :)... To the point tho, In Just my opinion, This should have never been recorded as a "Country", or wannabe Country song I should say, It sounds Ridiculously Silly..! Some songs like FGL's, Jason's, etc., yes they can do it. But what seems to be done here Is that they're trying wayyy too hard to make this original Big hit a country duet as well.., Can't come up w/ any more Ideas with no Imagination at this Point In time and go to Something like this, as this song was a Major hit, and hope to get her back Up In ratings.., NOT the way to go About it.
